Chapter 12: A Date To Remember

ARANYA

Buong araw ay tahimik lamang ako habang iniisip si Tory at ang pambabanta nito. I never thought her anger to me will reach this level. I can't believe that she's very mad at me just because of some guy! Ganoon na lang ba talaga siya kadesperada sa lalaki?

Before, she always comes first to me after a little argument but now, it ended up different. Para bang masyado itong nasaktan nang dahil sa ako ang kasama ni Seth. She barely even know him! Ni hindi niya pa nga nakakausap nang maayos ang lalaki!

"Hey."

Bigla na lamang bumalik ang ulirat ko nang marahan akong yugyugin ni Seth sa balikat. Agad akong napatingala sa kanya na ngayon ay nakasukbit na ang backpack sa balikat niya't bitbit naman ang basket na may mga prutas sa kanang kamay at handa nang umalis.

"Hang out?" He suddenly asked as he reach out his hand to help me stand from where I'm sitting.

He wants to hang out now? Why would he ask it all of a sudden?

"Uhm, sure. I guess."

I may sound easy to get but I really can't say no to this man. Marami na siyang naitulong sa akin at higit sa lahat, he saved my life. Besides, hanging out with him is not bad at all.
Unless you don't act stupid again.

"Good. Let's go." He simply replied with his usual voice but there is something in those eyes of him that tells me he was very happy.

Bigla tuloy akong napaisip kung bakit nag-aya ito agad ngayon. Maybe he's in a very good mood today or something happened that made him so happy. But what is it though?

"Is there any place you want to go today?"

Agad akong napalingon sa kanya habang naglalakad na kami palabas ng classroom at iniinda ang mga masasamang tingin at bulungan. I think I'm getting used to ignoring these people now because of this man. Naimpluwensyahan na ata ako nito na maging snob at walang pake sa mundo.

"W-Wala naman. Lagi naman kasi akong dumidiretso sa bahay kapag uwian na."

Well that's what my mother keeps on telling me to avoid the dangers of the world. Always head straight home. Hindi magandang magliwaliw lalo pa't grabe pa rin ang trauma ko.

"I see. That's good though. Always head straight home and don't go anywhere unnecessary but this time..." He before clinging his big arm over my neck while walking, "You have me so you have nothing to worry about. Let's have a little fun before our observation is done."

Him clinging on me was already shocking but my heart stopped for a milisecond after hearing the reason why he wants to hang out.

Harman's observation project will be done this friday. They only have a week to observe us before they finally go back to their normal class. I don't know why but it made me feel so sad. Well, they'll be back to their normal ways and I know its a relief to me because I will not be in great trouble again but I feel the opposite of what seems to be the right reaction I should feel.

Maybe its because of this man. Again. Its always him. Siya lagi ang rason kung bakit ako masaya, malungkot, natataranta, natatame at kung anu-ano pang samu't saring emosyon simula nang makita ko siya.

I thought this kind of feeling exists only in books that I read and also the fictions I create. I never thought this day will come. That I'll finally experience all of it. Maybe this is really what it is.

I don't know. I'm still confused about it but I'm pretty sure whatever I feel is only for Seth. I think I'm already falling in.
