Chapter 21: Threats and Consequences

I thought madam will not listen to Seven after everything that happened. I was really surprised that she accepted the offer of studying here without any hesitation. I know I've known her only for a short period of time but I know she's not a type of person who will just obey to someone who lied to her. I mean, any person would never just disregard the pain given by someone right?

Unless she's planning something. Something she thinks that will get her out of here. Maybe she wants to device a plan.

"You've been staring quite serious at the window. You only do that when you're thinking something serious." Seven is sitting beside me at the back of their family car who picked us up from Harman.

He said he has no mood to drive and I myself feels the same so I called their family driver to take us to his house. I turned to him as I lean on the chair and look at him who's busy setting up his new phone.

"I was just surprised that madam accepted studying in Harman just like that. I mean, after what happened---"

"If you think she's planning to escape then I agree with you. Ara is a smart woman and I bet she's planning already right after I brought her to the dorm."

Nahalata rin pala ni Seven ang kakaibang asal ni Ara kanina (well he's Seven after all so its not a surprise) at siguradong may naiisip na rin itong paraan para hindi mapahamak ang mahal niya kahit ano pa man ang plano ng babae.

"She can't escape. Even she's smart, I know she can't. But I'm thinking of another possibility." He turned to me this time as he seriously look and then spoke, "If she's as smart as what I think she is, Ara will probably realize that she has no chance in escaping. What if she's planning something different?"

Agad akong natigilan at napaisip din sa tanong ni Pres. What could be the possible reason why she willingly accepted her fate?

"Sir Seven, wag po muna kayong bababa. May pulis pong naghihintay sa labas ng bahay ninyo."

Ngayon ko lang nahalata na nakapasok na pala kami sa entrance gate ng bahay at napatingin sa front window ng sasakyan para makita ang tinutukoy na pulis ni manong Harold. It was a policewoman wearing her uniform and a black gun in her gun pocket. Hindi ko makita masyado ang model ng baril pero malinaw ang mukha ng pulis mula sa aming puwesto.

"Its fine. I know that policewoman and I'm sure I'm the one she wants to talk to."

Seven immediately opened the right door of the backseat and then we walked out of the car. Out of curiosity, I also opened the left door and then I followed him.

"May I help you ma'am?" Tanong ni Seven nang makalapit na ito sa babaeng pulis.

She looks like she's in nearing forty but her body built looks like she can easily throw me at the pool near the veranda.

"I know you know exactly why I'm here Seven. Where's my niece?" Diretso at seryosong tanong ng babae habang gigil na gigil itong nakatitig kay Seven.

Did she just said niece? Does that mean Ara has a police aunt? Well, there's no other possible meaning of it of course but what the hell? If Seven's family learned about this then we're doomed right now!

"Believe it or not ma'am, I was about to ask the same question since she's not answering my calls anymore. I was about to track Ara's house to ask." Seven sounds really casual like what he's saying is indeed true. He keeps himself look calm even if the policewoman is glaring at him really bad.

"Don't play innocent with me! I know you have something to do with this! Tell me where she is before I knock you over in that pool!"

Parang natulos sa kinatatayuan ko sa sobrang seryoso ng aura ng dalawa. Although Ara's aunt is more like an angry aura and Seven looks so blank and unreadable. I hope I can handle a pressure like that. Whenever I try to do it, I always end up breathing hard after the encounter.
