Chapter 35: Another Goodbye

Eksaktong pagmulat ng mga mata ko ay mukha agad ni Seth ang nakita ko. He was sitting in the bed as he look at me with his face as straight as a pole like he has no feeling for me at all. It was dull and emotionless. Unlike yesterday when he still feels pain as I sent him away.

"Good. You're awake." He said with his manly cold voice, "Get up now and we'll leave. I'll send you back to your family."

Biglang namulat ang natutulog ko pang diwa at dilat na dilat ang mga matang nakatitig kay Seth na ngayon ay tumayo na at aalis na ng silid.

I feel like I set him off this time. Mukhang kahit siya ay natauhan na sa mga nangyayari at naisip na niyang kailangan ko na talagang umalis. Maybe he's thinking that being with me is a total burden. Because I totally am a burden and I know it.

He said as he turned the car engine on before leaning at the back of his chair, "Tell her as soon as you see her to leave and never comeback here again. All of you." He seriously commanded before driving the car as the rest of the guys who can't fit in the car used their own motorbikes to follow.

It was already late in the evening and the road is not as active as a fine busy day. I can already see the way since Seth did not cover my eyes this time like he was in a hurry. He was too attentive as he glance almost everywhere as long as his eyes can still turn to every edge of the road, showing that my escape is indeed dangerous.

"Do you think she has company boss?" Tanong bigla ni Cole mula sa backseat na biglang kinabahan nang malaman ang balak ni Seth.

They are aware that my aunt is a policewoman and I bet they also feel scared that it might be a bait. Hindi ko alam kung umamin si Seth pero kung ganoon nga ay hindi na ako magtatakang may sasalubong agad sa amin na rumurondang mga pulis.

"Even if she has one, she can't trick us. I'll know it." He confidently said as he maneuver the steering wheel as his eyes look determined on the road, "You know how many times we outsmarted those policemen in Italy. Its way easier to do it here."

Looks like these people are known to escape from the hands of policemen. Mga matutulis na kriminal talaga ang mga ito sa murang edad. Hindi ko lubos maisip kung paano nagagawang mabuhay ni Seth sa ganitong magulong sitwasyon. Lagi siyang magtatago, maglilihim, magiging mailap sa bawat galaw, parang wala kang kalayaan.

"Okay. Your call." Ani ni Cole na para bang hindi kumbinsido at napatingin na rin sa paligid.

I on the other hand looked at the side mirror of the car and noticed a black car getting closer to us. I don't want to be alarmed at first but since the front window is clear, the backlight of the car gave clearance to the face of the driver and I almost screamed when I saw Lucy.
