~Your POV~
Kiyoko had just finished setting out the food. I was sitting in a chair at one of the tables. My doctor told me I didn't need my crutches anymore but that I had to be careful and make sure I didn't injure myself anymore. The boys sat down and started to eat. Noya, Tanaka, Hinata, and Kageyama acted as if they hadn't eaten in weeks.
After dinner, everyone went to wash up. Kiyoko lived nearby and offered to let me stay at her place, which I gladly accepted. She even walked slowly so I didn't strain myself trying to keep up. I was admiring the night sky when she spoke up.
"So, what's going on with you and Daichi?" I didn't look at her but I blushed heavily as I remembered all the time I've spent with him. "He's-" I stopped. "I don't know how to explain it." Kiyoko stopped in front of me, a smirk plastered on her face. I stopped and sighed.
"I like everything about him. He's so confident and smart. He always knows what to say, and if he doesn't say anything he always knows what to do. His laugh is enchanting and I get lost in his eyes. He's by my side at all times. And he never fails to brighten my day. And when he holds me- when he holds me it's like the rest of the world disappears. Like it's just the two of us, ya know? When I'm with him, time stops. He feels like...home."
I looked back at Kiyoko whose mouth was hanging open. "What?" She grabbed my hand and continued walking. "You guys are perfect for each other."
---
I was sitting at the dinner table watching Hinata and Kageyama swallow their food practically whole when my phone started ringing. I bowed and excused myself from the table, making my way to the empty hall.
"Hello?"
"Miyazaki F/N! Where on earth are you?!" 'Damn me for forgetting to check the caller ID'
"H-Hi, mom..."
"Well? Answer me!"
"I'm uh-on a school trip."
"Why am I just now finding out you were in the hospital? How much more are you going to embarrass this family?!"
"I'm fine, thank you for asking. And I'm not embarrassing YOUR family. I have dad's last name for a reason. Not yours. It's L/N F/N, not Miyazaki F/N." I was over her treating me like I was below her. I hung up on her and went back into the dining hall.
I didn't really eat which Daichi seemed to notice. He nudged me with his shoulder and motioned to the food in front of me. "I'm not really hungry," I said. "Everything okay?" He put his hand on my good knee. I could feel my face heat up as I blushed. "Never better" He gave me a warm smile that made my heart skip a few beats.
---
I flopped onto Kiyoko's futon and groaned. "You had better not injure yourself by throwing your body onto random things." She laughed. "Kiyokoooo" I whined. She appeared over me. "What am I supposed to do about Daichi?" She laughed again but had a smirk on her face. "Don't worry about it. I'm sure it'll all work out."
---
"Remind me again why the injured is helping you carry these?" I asked Kiyoko as I carried one of the two bags she had. "I didn't realize your arms were broken too!" She joked. "Haha very funny." We walked in and dropped the bags on the floor. I watched the boys as she was talking to Mr. Takeda.
After that, Coach Ukai was talking to the boys and I tuned him out. I was too focused on a butterfly that kept fluttering by. My ears perked up when he said we were going up against Nekoma. I hadn't really paid much attention to who we were playing. In hindsight, I probably should've asked, or listened in the first place but now I get to see them.
'Kuroo and Kenma. Let's see how much you've changed in 2 years.'
