41- Opportunity

~Third Person POV~

"L/n F/n please report to the principles office" Kagami looked over at Y/n and smirked, "Get in trouble?" Y/n rolled her eyes as she gathered her things, "You wish"

Once in the office, she waited nervously. The lunch bell had rung a few minutes ago so she wanted to hurry this up. "He'll see you now"

Y/n grabbed her bag and walked into the principal's room, standing in front of his desk. "Ah, Ms. L/n, I'll make this quick."

He handed the girl a stack of papers, that looked kind of like a permission slip.

"The football team has been asked to attend a 4 week-long training camp in America. As long as your grades are steady I don't see why you couldn't go."

Y/n's eyes were wide and the principal stared at her. "I see you're freaking out. You can continue once you leave, but the office needs signed permission slips from your parents in order for you to attend. We need them back in 2 days. You leave in 3."

Y/n walked out of the office in shock. 

Once reality set it she screamed in the middle of the hallways making everyone around her jump.

She ran down the halls and outside to the field where the girls are normally sitting. Surprisingly they were passing by the gym when Y/n spotted them.

"KAGAMIIIIIIIIIIIIII" 

The boy's volleyball team looked out the doors in enough time to see Y/n tackle Kagami to the ground.

"GREMLIN!" Y/n smacked Kagami with the stack of papers. "Oooo whatcha got captain?" Ayame asked.

"WE'RE GOING TO TRAIN WITH A US TEAM!!" She said as she waved the papers.

All the girls erupted into screams as they each took a paper. "Ok ok, I need these signed and back to me by tomorrow. We leave in three days!"

The boy's team had come outside and were watching curiously, except Nishinoya who snatched Himari's paper.

"But-this says you're going to be gone for 4 weeks." Kageyama looked at Ayame while Daichi looked at Y/n.

"This is an incredible opportunity!" Cho yelled. 

All three of the boyfriend's looked saddened. Daichi looked the most upset of all.

Y/n noticed and her heart immediately dropped. They were always around each other. They'd never gone more than a week without the other.

"Y/n this means once we get back we won't have a lot of time to practice before Nationals," Mika said as she did the math.

"I know. But we'll be training out there too so hopefully it'll all be fine" Daichi hugged Y/n from behind.

"So you leave in 3 days and you're gone for 30?" She nodded. "Don't worry, I'll come back to you in one piece. I promise" She pecked his cheek.

"You'd better" He tickled her side before yanking her inside the gym. "HEY! I was gonna sit out on the field with the girls" He simply deadpanned at the girl.

"You're leaving for a month in three days. They get you that entire time." 

She wiggled her finger in Daichi's face as she teased him. "Someone's jealous~" 

He kissed her softly, catching her off guard. "Yes, yes I am. What am I supposed to do without you?" "I dunno. Practice?"

"Terminal 1-B is now boarding for Tampa Florida in the United States" Y/n ran towards Daichi and threw her arms around his neck, pulling him into a warm hug.

 "I love you Cap" He kissed her and the two melted into it for a moment. "Last call for Terminal 1-B to Tampa Florida" 

Y/n pulled away and gasped, "What?" She dug through her bag and pulled out 2 bracelets. 

She gave Daichi the white one while she kept the black. "It says 'I am always with you' in morse code"

He slipped it on his wrist along with the matching bracelet he had gotten for Y/n. He held her hand for a moment before she finally pulled out of his grasp. "I love you" 

The girl waved back at him and Kōshi excitedly as she ran to her terminal. 

"We almost left without you idiot," Kagami said as she put her carry-on in the compartment above. "She had to say goodbye to her lover~" Himari teased. 

"Sorry we're not like you and Nishinoya. We've never been apart for this long" All the girls laughed and Y/n rolled her eyes. 

"Did I make it?!" They all looked back at Takeda who had run onto the plane. "You're here so I'm gonna say yes?" Y/n smacked Kagami. 

Coach had to stay back to take care of her sister, but the girls couldn't go alone, to Takeda offered to accompany them.

"I'm gonna tell Aya to fix your attitude" "I'm not scared of her" Y/n picked up her phone to call Aya, Kagami's girlfriend. 

"NO STOP I WAS KIDDING PLEASE SHE'LL LITERALLY FLY TO THE US JUST TO THROW A SHOE AT ME"

Y/n laughed and stuffed her phone into her pocket. "You're fine Mr. Takeda, Kagami's just an ass" He put his luggage in the overhead compartment and sat down. 

"It's gonna be a long 15 and a half hour flight isn't it?" He asked Y/n who was sitting next to him. "Yep," He signed and looked out the window. 

The plane started to pick up speed so it could take off. Next stop, Tampa Florida, United States of America.

The team arrived at their hotel around 9 AM EST. Mr. Takeda groaned as he got off the bus and felt the humidity in the air. 

"And he's supposed to be our facilitator" Y/n whacked Kagami upside the head. "DUDE" "Dude, leave him alone. It's hot and your attitude isn't making it any better so pipe down"

The girls weren't tired seeing as they all slept on the plane and the first day of camp wasn't until tomorrow so they decided once they drop off their bags they were going to go and buy swimsuits since they were at a hotel not far from the beach.

"Y/N! This would look so good on you!" Himari held up a navy blue bikini with white, red, and black designs, along with the Tommy Hilfinger logo across the band. "Sure" 

A few minutes later Himari came up to Y/n with 3 swimsuits in her hand. They were all the same style. Triangle bikinis with white bands on the top and the bottoms. 

"Ok, maroon, orange, or pink?" Y/n tilted her head to the right as she looked at them. "Maroon. It gives me-" "BAD BITCH VIBES" "Is that the only thing you know how to say?" "No. I know how to say Daichi's gonna freak when he sees a picture of you in that bikini" Kagami smirked.

"Good thing he's not getting one then" Himari winked at Kagami who had an evil look on her face. "Whatever you have to tell yourself Y/n~"

When the captain wasn't paying attention, Himari snapped a couple of pictures of her and immediately sent them to Daichi.

Back in Miyagi, he was laying in bed, trying not to die of a nosebleed while Suga stared at his friend with a confused look on his face.
