19- Ranking

~Your POV~

"Y/N there you are-" Kagami popped her head into the gym. "YOU'RE NOT EVEN DRESSED YET WE'RE GOING TO BE LATE HURRY UP!"

I ran to the bathroom and splashed some water on my face, doing my best to freshen up. I put on a white tee shirt and slipped on some jeans. I pulled half my hair into a loose bun that rested behind my head. I grabbed Daichi's flannel out of my bag [that I stole this morning hehe] and threw it on over my shirt. I finished my outfit off with some perfume and my white sneakers.

I ran back into the gym and snatched the paper back from Daichi. "Is that mine?" "Yes, anyways I gotta go" "Where are you going?" He asked as he grabbed my hand. "Kagami and I have a captain's meeting in Sendai today." He sighed. "I'll be back after lunch" He looked a little happier now. 

He pulled me into a hug and rested his chin on the top of my head. I stepped back after a few seconds. "Okay, I really have to go now. I'll see you later Cap." I ran out the doors and towards the car. 

"Took you long enough. If we're late and coach wants someone's head, I'm offering you up first." I rolled my eyes and got in.

The meeting was pretty average. It consisted of the same old stuff. When we got back the rest of the day was pretty boring too. I was leading practice since coach wasn't here. 

"Ok grab some water" The girls and I made our way to the bench when a student approached us. "Y/N" My attention turned from the line-up sheet to whoever said my name. "Oh, hey Hitoshi, how can I help you?" He handed me a letter, "This just got delivered to the office." 

He bowed and left the field. I opened the letter and damn near passed out when I read it. "Holy-" I ran towards the girls and held the paper out. All the girls ran over out of curiosity, their eyes widening when they read it. We all stared at each other, processing it for a good few seconds before screaming at the top of our lungs. 

"I CAN'T BELIEVE IT"

"OH MY GOD"

"NO WAY"

We were all in tears at this point. I decided to call practice since we've all been working really hard and this was something to be celebrated. I kicked my shoes off and yanked my shin guards off, throwing both items into my bag. I threw on Daichi's hoodie and slipped on some vans before running to the gym.

I was panting when I got there. Normally a run like that wouldn't wear me out but I was still crying from the news. I ran into the gym to see the boys packing up. My shoes squeaked across the floor as I ran towards my boyfriend. Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at me but I just continued running. 

"WE DID IT!" I yelled as I jumped into Daichi's arms, with tears still falling down my face. He caught me and put his arms under my thighs. He held me for a moment before I jumped down. 

"What'd you do?" He asked me as he wiped some of the tears from my eyes. I couldn't even find the words so instead, I handed him the paper. He took it from me hesitantly but read it over.

He picked me up and spun me around after he finished reading it. "Congratulations!!" When he put me back down he kissed the top of my head. "I'm sorry I wasn't here for you guys. We were just working really hard." "Don't be sorry. All your hard work paid off." I smiled up at him when Hinata came over and joined us. 

"What did you do Y/N-Senpai?!?!" "The Karasuno girls football team is currently ranked third in all of Japan!" Hinata's eyes sparkled. "THAT'S SO COOL!" "I KNOW" I looked back and smiled at Daichi as I picked my bag up off the floor. He held my gaze and it felt like the rest of the world faded away.
