~Your POV~

"I don't know what I should do, dad. Everything feels so messed up. For all I know I ruined things with Daichi, whose amazing by the way. You'd really like him. He's like you. Caring, passionate, understanding, patient." I sighed.

"Everything I'm not. I just wish you could give me some kind of sign. Do I go and possibly risk losing everything I have here? Or do I stay and pass up the offer?"

I plucked a dandelion from the ground and blew the seeds everywhere as I laid back, looking up at the afternoon sky.

"Plus Nationals start next week and I don't know if I'm ready. I mean, I'm a good player, but that's because of my team. What if I can't lead them like I did before?"

I laid next to his grave for a little while longer before deciding to leave. "I'll come back soon, I promise"

When I got back inside my car I slammed my hands on the wheel as aggressively as I could. "WHY DID YOU HAVE TO LEAVE?! WHY DID I HAVE TO RUIN EVERYTHING?! WHY CAN'T I JUST BE STRONG FOR ONCE IN MY LIFE!?"

I drove back home and grabbed my phone, ignoring all the missed calls and texts. Especially since I skipped school, again.

"Thank god" I grabbed some of my volleyball stuff and threw it into a duffel bag before changing into practice clothes

"Thank god" I grabbed some of my volleyball stuff and threw it into a duffel bag before changing into practice clothes.

I threw my things into the backseat and started to blast music. It was the only way to drown out my swirling thoughts.

~Third Person POV~

"Y/n-Chan!!" The brunette setter for Aoba Johsai ran towards Y/n who was getting out of her car. "Toru!" For some reason his presence was refreshing.

"How are you?" She asked as they made their way from the parking lot to the gym. "I'm good, you know as good as can be with nationals around the corner" He replied.

"I'm assuming you're not doing super great since you wanna hit something" She nodded her head softly. "Well I'm here and we're going to practice our hearts out!"

Something about his obnoxious, cheery nature made her smile. "I see that smile! You can't hide it from me!" She started lightly punching him in the arm as the two walked into the gym laughing.

"Y/n!" She looked up at Matsukawa who was running towards her. "HEY!" Iwaizumi and Hanamaki followed, leaving everyone else pretty confused.

"What are you doing here?!" "I wanna hit something" She smirked. "I vote Shittykawa" Iwaizumi replied. "NO!" Oikawa jumped behind Y/n who was protecting him.

"Ah, another day Iwaizumi. Unfortunately, I wanna receive some of his serves today" "You can play volleyball?" Hanamaki was surprised.

"Yea, I just prefer being on an airy field instead of a stuffy gym" "THAT'S WHY I RECOGNIZE YOU!" She looked at the boy then back at Oikawa. "Kindaichi"

"Can I please get a picture with you?! My brother loves you!" She laughed and agreed.

"Ok come on Y/n-chan. We need to stretch" "It's so quiet in here" She replied as she dropped into the middle splits. "Really?" "Yea, I'm used to practicing on the field and in the gym with some kind of music"

Oikawa got up and connected his phone to a speaker on the bench, playing Don't Run Away. "Chile- what playlist is this?" "Burning UshiWaka's farm" "Of course it is" She laughed.

Oikawa walked over to the ball cart and grabbed a ball before stepping back to the line and jump serving. "ON IT!" Y/n yelled as she sprinted across the court, receiving it and sending it to setter position perfectly.

"How-did you do that?" Oikawa asked with wide eyes. "I'm good, that's how" She laughed as she flipped her ponytail over her shoulder.

"Again," He said as he served another. She got under it and passed it to the setter. "Here!" Yahaba hesitantly set to the outside hitter position and she sprinted across the court.

Before anyone knew it, she slammed the ball onto the other side, making it look like it was about to pop. "You're officially scary" Oikawa laughed. "But I'm gonna set to you now"

After a few hits, Y/n's power didn't weaken and her swings didn't slow down. "Ok, what's wrong with you?" He asked as he set her again.

"I got an offer to train in America!" She yelled as she smacked the ball. When she landed she sighed. "I'd be gone for a year"

"When did you get the offer?" "4 weeks ago." "And did you tell anyone?" She shook her head and Oikawa threw a ball at the back of her head.

"TORU!" "You're best friends with the Karasuno volleyball team and you're the captain of the football team" "Yea..." "Y/n come on. Why didn't you tell them?"

Y/n got mad and picked up a ball, serving it with as much force as she could. "I WAS SCARED! IS THAT WHAT YOU WANNA HEAR?! THE NUMBER ONE PLAYER IN ALL OF JAPAN WAS SCARED!"

Oikawa dropped the ball he was holding and ran over to hug the girl. "Get off!" She cried as she tried to shove his chest. "Stop. Y/n, you don't have to be strong all the time"

He pulled the two of them into the hallway where no one was around. "It's okay" She cried into his chest as the feelings overwhelmed her.

"I'm scared...If I go, I have to leave everyone behind. But I'd get a shot at joining a FIFA team." She sighed.

"I don't wanna leave anyone. Especially Daichi..." "You really love him, don't you?" "More than anything"

"Y/n, it's not my place to tell you what to do, and if I'm overstepping I'm sorry. But I think you should go. You may not get a chance like this again. Besides after a year, you could come back and play for Japan"

She pushed away and looked up at him. "What about Dai-" "If he really loves you, he'll understand and make it work"

A minute of silence passed before Y/n spoke. "Toru?" "Yea?" "You're pretty smart for being a dumbass" "I hate you" "No you don't" "Hmph!"
