~Third Person POV~

Day 23:

It was around 12 PM in Tampa, making it 2 AM in Japan. 

"Y/N!" Sophie yelled from across the field. "SOPHIE!" She yelled back. "Are you ready to call practice? We've been at this since 7" Y/n looked at all the girls who were beyond exhausted.  

"Yea" "OH THANK GOD" Kagami yelled as she collapsed onto the ground. "How about a free day and we can all go to dinner tonight?" Coach Naomi suggested. 

"Works for me" Sophie ran and grabbed Y/n's wrist. "Come on, we're going to the beach!" "But I can't swim" "So build a sandcastle!" 

All of the girls decided the beach sounded like a good idea, so that's where they ended up. Some were in the water, some played a small game, while others like Y/n, Grace, Nori, Hanako, and Zoe tanned. 

Y/n wasn't really trying to tan, she just happened to fall asleep on her beach towel. For 2 hours. 

"Is she dead?" "I think she is" "Leave her alone. We're all worn out and she just wants to sleep."

"You're right. I do" Y/n said as she opened her eyes and sat up. "So I'm going back to the hotel to do exactly that. Don't kill anyone, just behave." She said as she grabbed her things. 

Once she was back in her room at the hotel, she showered and put on some shorts and one of Daichi's shirts before crawling into bed. 

She slept for another 2 hours while the other girls stayed on the beach. 

"Hey babe!" Himari said as she answered Nishinoya's facetime call. "I HEARD THE WORD BABE! I WANNA SEE HIM!" The Tampa girls ran towards Himari's phone to get a good look at her boyfriend. 

"Ooo he's cute~" Grace teased. "BOKE HINATA!" "Oh is Kageyama there?" Nishinoya panned the camera to where Kageyama was in fact, beating up Hinata. 

"Which one is he dating?" "Ayame" "I WANNA SEE Y/N'S BOYFRIEND!" Sophie yelled excitedly.  "DAICHI COME HERE" Nishinoya yelled. "I wasn't even 10 feet away from you! Stop yelling!"

You couldn't see Daichi throw it but you could see Nishinoya get hit in the face with a volleyball. "Now, what?" 

"Someone wants to see you" Noya held his nose with one hand while he flipped the camera and pointed it at his captain.

"BYE, HE'S LITERALLY SO HOT-" "WHAT IN THE-" "STOP! Y/N LITERALLY WON THE JACKPOT!" The Tampa girls were fangirling over the hot brunette. "Um, hello" He waved awkwardly. 

"Speaking of Y/n, where is she?" Noya asked. "Y/n?" Kōshi went running over to where Noya and Daichi were standing. "Where's Y/n?" "I just asked that!" "I didn't know!" 

Himari and some of the other girls laughed. "She's not here. We're all down on the beach." Himari checked her watch. "She's been in her hotel room, asleep for mmm 2 hours probably" 

"Who sleeps instead of going to the beach!?" Noya asked dramatically. "One, she can't swim. Two, she's probably tired from training" Daichi replied. "Bingo!" Himari laughed. 

Back in her hotel room, Y/n groaned and got up when she heard someone knocking on her door. "I'm coming, relax!" She snapped. 

When she opened the door, Coach Naomi was standing there. "Oh, sorry, come in," Y/n said as she yawned. "Sorry to disturb your sleep but I have important news for you"

The captain nodded, telling the coach she could continue. "We want you" "To do what?" Coach sighed at her actual dumbassery. "To train with Tampa after you graduate" 

Y/n's mouth went dry. 

"Currently I know California, Colorado, and Texas are looking into scouting you, but we want you the most. You'd have the best chance at joining the national team" 

The captain was overwhelmed. This was what she had always wanted. So why did it feel so wrong?

"When do I have to decide by?" "After your spring Nationals are over" "So 6 weeks from now" "Yes. I know it's soon and I don't want you to feel rushed."

Y/n sighed. "If I come to train, how long will I be here?" "A year, and then you'd up for the World Cup selection." 

"I'll think about it" "This opportunity only comes once. Please keep that in mind" 

The rest of the day went by in a blur. In fact, the next 7 days went by in a blur. Y/n's head was all over the place. 

"Bye girls! We're gonna miss you!" 

Sophie walked up and hugged Y/n. "Please think about it. We seriously want you on this team" She whispered in Y/n's ear. 

"Don't forget to text us!" Penelope yelled as the Karausno girls got onto the bus. "Y/n?" She snapped out of it and looked at Himari who looked concerned. 

"You okay?" Y/n nodded. "Yep, let's go home!" She beamed. Y/n and Himari were the last on the bus and everyone waved goodbye to each other.

16 hours later, the bus pulled up to Karasuno High. The school day ended a little bit ago and a few students were still scattered around the building and lawn. 

The girls got off the bus and went separate ways, but Y/n walked directly towards the boy's gym after dropping her bag off at her car. 

The sound of shoes squeaking across the floor was soothing in a way. 

The doors were open and the boys were playing a game against a school she didn't recognize. Not that it mattered because her eyes were on her boyfriend. 

She leaned against the doorway, arms crossed over her chest as she watched the game. No one had seemed to notice her presence yet. 

After the game ended, which didn't take long seeing as when she arrived they were halfway through the second set, the boys huddled up in the middle of the court. 

When they broke apart, Coach Ukai looked at Daichi and motioned towards the doors. 

As the captain looked back, he locked eyes with his girlfriend. A wide smile appeared on his face as he took off in a sprint towards her. 

She threw her arms around his neck, while he wrapped his around her waist and spun her around, making her laugh. 

"I missed you!" "I missed you too Cap"
