~Third Person POV~
"You have to pass exams in order to go." Noya, Tanaka, Hinata, and Kageyama died on the spot. "WHAT" "WHAT'S THE MINIMUM TO PASS" "WE'RE NEVER GONNA DO IT"
"PIPE DOWN!" Daichi yelled. "WAIT! Doesn't Y/N always get the highest marks?" Noya asked with some hope in his eyes. "Well yea but why would that-"
~Your POV~
"Sup boys," I said as I walked into the gym. Everyone turned to me with unreadable expressions on their faces. "Whoa who died?" "Y/N-SENPAI WHAT KIND OF MARKS DO YOU GET IN YOUR CLASSES?!" Hinata yelled at me.
"Uh- 98 in Social Studies, 95 in Mathematics, 99 in Japanese Literature, 93 in Science, and 97 in English. Why?" Everyone looked at me with their mouths hanging open. "Someone wanna explain or?"
"We have a training camp in Tokyo next month," Kōshi said. "Right I heard about that." He pointed to Noya, Tanaka, Hinata, and Kageyama. "They have to pass their exams in order to go." I looked at Kōshi and then back at the 4 boys.
"Ok? Why is that a proble- OHHHHH" I made an awkward face as I put 2 and 2 together. "How bad is it?" "I NEVER EVEN SCORE IN THE DOUBLE DIGITS" Hinata cried causing me to gasp. "HINATA SHŌYŌ! A 10 IS IN THE DOUBLE DIGITS!" He hung his head.
Tanaka and Noya crawled over to me and acted as if they were on the brink of death. "Help...us...please" "Are you that desperate?" "Did you not just hear yourself talking about how high your marks are? We NEED to go to Tokyo!"
I giggled. "Fine, during the second half of lunch and after practice every day." I said as I started walking towards the door. "But you'd better be ready to put in the effort. Or I won't help at all."
---
"You really are stupid." "Why don't you use your brain for once" "Idiot" I smacked Tskuishima and Kageyama on the back of their heads. "Stop it!" I put my hand on Hinata's shoulder. "It's okay. Take a breath." He relaxed slightly when Kageyama started to complain.
"I DON'T NEED NO ENGLISH" 'BRUH dear god why did I say yes to this' Daichi walked over and started showing Kageyama hand signals to which Kageyama named. "How long did it take you to learn those?" "The first time I saw them." "Exactly so don't tell me you can't memorize a few words."
I looked at my watch and saw the time. "Oh god, I've gotta go. Coach needed to talk to me. I'll see you guys tomorrow." I grabbed my things in a panic and ran out of the room.
"Rude" I heard Daichi say as I left. I ran back in and pecked his cheek. "Now bye" I said as I took off for the football club room.
---
~Third Person POV~
The boys were studying when Ennoshita came running into the club room. "IT'S OUT!" He shouted as he waved something around in the air. "Calm down Ennoshita. What's out?" He handed Suga the magazine.
"IS THAT THE JAPAN SPORTS MAGAZINE?!" Hinata yelled causing all the boys to stop working. Suga sat down in the middle of the floor while the others gathered around him to look at it.
"Whoa, it's Miya Atsumu!" "And Bokuto Kōtarō" "And Ushiwaka" The boys pointed out as they flipped through the magazine. Suga flipped past a page but Noya stopped him when he saw something familiar.
"Wait wait, go back a page." Suga flipped back and all of the boys stopped functioning. "No way" "Does that say" "PLAYER OF THE YEAR?!" "I LOVE HER" "SHE GETS MORE AMAZING EVERY TIME" "Daichi you lucky batard"
Players from all over Japan were reading this magazine. Everyone from volleyball players, football players, basketball players, even swimmers, fangirled over her as they stared at the article.
~Your POV~
'I feel like there was something important about today.' I thought as I walked through the halls on my way to the club room. Everyone stared at me as I walked past, making me walk faster. 'What is everyone's deal today?'
I shook it off as I approached the club room. "He-" I was cut off by all the boys screaming. "OH MY GOD WHAT?!" I yelled as I backed out of the room. I thought I was going to die. "WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL US YOU WERE NAMED JAPAN'S PLAYER OF THE YEAR?!!" Tanaka yelled at me.
'So that's what I forgot' I gave them an awkward smile. "Uhhh" "YOU LOOK SO HOT" "NO SHE IS COOL" "AND WE GET TO HANG OUT WITH HER EVER DAY" I walked over and sat down in between Daichi's legs.
"So what's it look like?" Kōshi turned the magazine towards me. "Oh-" I felt Daichi lean forward and rest his chin on my shoulder. "You look really beautiful" I blushed at the compliment. "Y/N this is amazing!" Kōshi said as he continued to read it.
"WE KNOW SOMEONE FAMOUS!" Hinata cried. "I'm not famous." I giggled. Everyone stopped and looked at me. "What?" "I know you did NOT just say that!" Kageyama yelled in my face. "Y/N, no girl has made player of the year up until now. On top of that, neither Oikawa nor Ushiwaka have ever been named player of the year."
"I don't uh- I don't know what to say." "I'm really lucky" Daichi whispered as he wrapped his arms around my torso. We talked about the article for the next 20 minutes until it was time to leave for class.
Lots of teachers and students congratulated me on being selected. It was a really weird feeling. I was popular before this but this was next level.
