~Third Person POV~
"We've got a practice match?" "Mhm but this time we won't just be playing against Nekoma." All of the boys stood staring at Takeda in confusion. "Nekoma is part of the Fukurōdani Academy. They're an association of schools from all over the region who hold practice games with each other all the time." The boys cheered before asking the major question.
"CAN Y/N COME?!" "If she'd li-" YAYYYYY"
~Your POV~
I was sitting on the bench drinking some water when Coach walked over and motioned for me to follow her. I grabbed my water and followed her to a more secluded part of the field. She was talking on the phone so I watched the girls practice until she was done.
"Y/N?" "Yes, coach?" "Congratulations." I was beyond confused. There's 100 things she could be talking about. "Er-thanks? But for what?" I asked as I took another drink of water. "They didn't tell you?" I shook my head. "You're going to be featured in the Japan Sports Magazine" I spat the water out of my mouth and started choking. "You-who? Huh? What?" Coach laughed and put one hand on each of my shoulders.
"Congratulations Y/N," "What does this mean?" "Well the magazine comes out in a few days and they just informed me that they chose YOU as Player of the Year and they're dedicating an article to you. So you'll leave tomorrow morning for Tokyo." The excitement overwhelmed me. 'NO WAY! NO WAY NO WAY NO WAY!!!' I started to squeal but coach shushed me.
"Let's keep this a secret until the article comes out." Coach had an evil smirk on her face which I copied.

"Thank you for taking the time to sit down with us. I apologize it was on such short notice." "It was no problem, thank you so much for having me," I replied. "Iwaizumi Aiya, it's nice to meet you L/N. Shall we get started?"
"So how many hours do you put into practicing?" She asked as she tapped her pen waiting for my response. "Well, we practice 7 days a week. In the mornings for 3 hours, and then after school for another three. We try to condition at least three times a week, but that's usually during lunch." She hummed in response as she wrote everything I said down.
"And do you have a personal motto? Or something you like to tell your team?" "You determine your true potential. Find your limit, and just when you think you can't take any more, push yourself. You'll truly see just how far you can go."
We continued with questions for about an hour before it was time for the shoot. I got changed into my Karasuno football uniform, cleats, and shin guards. I made my way to the shooting room and it was huge. There were cameras everywhere and the lights were blinding.
"Ms. L/N, over here." I saw Mrs. Iwaizumi waiting for me by one of the giant cameras. She motioned for me to sit down in one of the chairs and told me someone would be taking care of my hair and makeup.
After about 15 minutes it was time for the actual picture part. "Hold this in your left hand." The photographer said as he tossed me a football. I posed and he took a couple of pictures. "Ok, perfect. Now try Holding the ball out straight in front of you." We took a couple more pictures before switching the pose again.
"Ok, I want your left hand on your hip, and your right hand holding the ball slightly out in front of you. Now give me a good smile!" I smiled and he took a gazillion pictures. We switched up the poses for another hour before he decided he had what he needed.
"Perfect, we're all set here." He said as he packed up his camera. "OH!! That was so good!!!" Mrs. Iwaizumi yelled as she walked over to me. "Thanks, sorry if I was stiff. I was a little nervous." "Oh nonsense you looked beautiful."
"Thank you" She stared at me for a moment. "So Karasuno High?" I nodded as I took off my cleats. "My son goes to Aoba Johsai." "Really? That's nice. They seem to have a good volleyball team." "You've seen them play?" I nodded again. "Yea my team and I go to support our guys at their games, so I've seen Seijoh play a few times."
"Do you have a boyfriend?" 'Sorry what' My head popped up at her question. "I'm so sorry!" I laughed while she started to panic. "Yes ma'am. My boyfriend is the volleyball captain." She sighed in relief. "Say, it's about 2. Have you eaten yet?" I shook my head as I stood up. "Let's go grab something. My treat."
"Okay, let me just go change."
We got burgers and talked for a while. She was actually a really sweet woman. I also learned her son was Iwaizumi Hajime, Seijoh's number 4. The winged spiker. I was heading back to my car when she stopped me, "Don't forget, the article comes out this Friday. I hope you're ready to be popular." I spun my head in confusion.
"Why would I be popular?" "Oh, did I not tell you? My apologies. You're the first girl to be featured in the magazine for Player of the Year. The rest is filled with boy's volleyball players, and a few basketball boys." 'Great' "Oh, okay. Well, have a good day Mrs. Iwaizumi." I smiled. "You too dear, it was nice to meet you."
Yay, now for the 5-hour drive back home.
~Back at the school~
"Has anyone seen Y/N?" Kagami asked her teammates as they stretched. Everyone shook their heads or shrugged. "Not since yesterday," Himari added. "What could she possibly be doing?" Kagami mumbled to herself.
"Has anyone told Y/N about the training camp?" Coach Ukai asked his players. "No, I haven't seen her," Suga told him. "Me either," Noya added. "Weird" Daichi whispered to himself.
At home, I plopped down onto my couch and turned on Netflix. 'Attack on Titan?' I clicked play and binge watched half the show. I sat in my bed, staring at the ceiling, unable to sleep.
'If I close my eyes- the titans are gonna eat me...'
