~Your POV~
After our game was over, Kōshi, Daichi, and I all went to go get meat buns. When I got home I showered and climbed in bed but I was restless. I tossed in bed for a good couple of hours before ultimately giving up. I checked the time on my phone and groaned. '2:34 AM'
I hopped up out of bed, slid my shoes on, and left the house. It wasn't too cold, but I was also wearing a black long sleeve and some red plaid pajama pants. I most definitely looked like an idiot seeing as it was the middle of the night.
I walked to Daichi's house and stood outside. I picked up a few pebbles and threw them at his. window. It took a few throws but I finally saw some movement inside. "Y/N?" He whispered as he rubbed his eyes. He looked so- beautiful. I know you don't usually call guys beautiful but he was. His eyes were only half-open, his hair was messy, and his face had lines on it from how he had slept.
"Come outside" I whisper shouted. "You're crazy" He chuckled. "Yes, I am. Now get down here." He moved away from the window and a few moments later his front door opened. He was wearing a red shirt and black plaid pajama pants. "Nice outfit" I giggled.
He looked down at his outfit and then at mine and laughed too. Coach Ukai's words rang out in my head. "You two really are made for each other." I smiled at the memory. "Come on," I said as I grabbed his hand.
"Where are we going at almost 3 in the morning?" "You'll see," I said as I continued pulling him. We walked around for about 15 minutes before we got close to where we were going. "Um, Y/N? Why are we here?" He asked as I pulled him into the forest. "You'll see." He stopped walking and I turned around.
"What?" I asked as he stared at the forest. I walked over so I was standing directly in front of him. He looked down at me and I gave him a soft, yet warm smile. "I'm taking you to a special place. You'll like it, I promise." His nervousness faded away and he smiled back at me.
We continued walking for a few minutes until we finally arrived. It was a huge field of wildflowers that sat right under the open sky. "What is this place?" Daichi asked as he looked around in awe.
"My dad brought me here when I was little. It's my kind of happy place." I said as I walked into the field, brushing my hands against the flowers as I passed. I felt a pair of strong arms wrap around me and I relaxed in his embrace. "It's beautiful" I hummed.
"Wanna see the best part?" I asked as I turned around to face him. He nodded. I placed my first finger under his chin and tipped his head back so he was now looking at the sky. His mouth opened as he stared at the stars. Now normally you could see the stars where we lived, but it was nothing like this. There were no other lights around, so it was just the stars and the moon illuminating the night sky.
He looked back down after a while and plucked a flower from the field. He brushed some of my hair back and placed the flower behind my ear. I blushed and tugged him down towards the ground with me so we could just lay and look at the stars.
We stared at the beautiful night sky for what felt like an eternity. "Y/N?" "Yea?" "Let's go on a date." I sat up and looked over at him. "What?" "Like a real date. We always hang out at our houses or go to each other's games but I want to take you out on a real date. You know? Like dinner." "Okay"
He sat up and looked over at me with a smile on his face. "Really?" I giggled. "Yea, I don't have practice later today so why not?" "I do" I got up and stood over him, extending both hands out to help him up. "So what? I'll swing by the gym after your practice is over. Just take a change of clothes." He grabbed my hands and I pulled him up.
"You don't mind?" I shook my head. "Of course not. Now come on you actually need sleep, I didn't mean to rob you of that." I laughed as I started to walk back towards the forest, but he stopped me.
"I love spending time with you. You didn't rob me of anything, in fact, you made my day even better." He said as he interlaced our fingers and kissed my head. We left and started walking back to his place. It was at least 5 by now. We stopped outside his house and I said goodbye.
"Are you sure you don't want me to walk you home? I don't want anything to happen to you." He said with concern. "I'll be okay, I promise. I'll text you when I get home." I gave him a little wave and went home.
When I got in bed I texted Daichi saying I was home. Now I felt a lot more relaxed than I was earlier. I was a lot happier too, I just need some sleep.
