"I edited chapter 49 without Saving it and I changed my phone now I couldn't find the chapter anymore 😭and I couldn't recalled all what I wrote there. The whole chapter was Abdul pov but now I had to just edit this chapter 50 and make it 49 so please don't be confused about the chapter."

Zarah....
"I've been parked here since morning, despite knowing I'll be heading back to Abuja tomorrow. Being at home has been overwhelming, and I don't want to leave my mother and siblings. I had an amazing time with them, and I'll miss them dearly.

Abdul promised to pick me up early, but to my surprise, it was Sufyan who showed up instead.

'Abdul isn't feeling well,' he explained, sliding his sunglasses down dramatically like he was in a Nollywood movie.

'So he sent you as his substitute?' I asked, rolling my eyes.

'Yes, madam,' Sufyan grinned. 'Don't worry, his replacement is finer and funnier. Admit it....you're lucky.'

'Lucky that you've been teasing me since you came?

Allah ya isa! I'm not your victim today,' I muttered, hugging my bag tighter.

He chuckled, 'But Kaduna has changed you o. You're looking... rounder. The food here did you justice.'

I gasped. 'Sufyan! Wallahi, one day, you'll see me with six packs and you'll beg me to forgive these insults.'

He laughed so hard the driver turned to look at him. 'Six packs? Zarah, you? Please, the only packs you'll ever carry are of chin-chin.'

I ignored him, but the smile tugging at my lips betrayed me.

After arriving in Abuja, our first stop was Anty Ramla's house to deliver the items Ammi had asked me to bring. Then, we headed to Ummi's house, where I was relieved to find everyone in good health, Alhamdulillah. Ummi hugged me tightly, kissing my forehead.

'How was your journey, Zarah?' she asked warmly.
'Alhamdulillah, smooth,' I said, stealing glances at her regal presence.

Soon after, I slipped into Abdul's mother's room to freshen up and pray. When I rejoined everyone, I sat with Abdul's sister, chatting until Ummi asked me to call two people to join us.

I headed down the hallway and found them....arguing as usual. Voices overlapping, eyes flashing. I only caught the tail end: "...the day Zarah finds out...

I froze. 'The day I find out what?' I asked sharply.
They both turned like kids caught stealing sugar. Guilty, panicked expressions.

'Uh... Ummi sent me,' I said, narrowing my eyes.
Their nervous laughter confirmed nothing and everything.

When Ummi caught us lingering, I escaped straight into the kitchen, where Anty Rukky was stirring stew.

'You and who?' she asked when she saw my face.
'Nobody,' I mumbled, reaching for onions to chop.
Soon, Ummi entered with Sufyan behind her. I lowered my gaze, pretending the onions were the most fascinating thing in the world. Then Abdul stormed in.

'Ya Allah, Abdullah atarikni wahidiy, madha turid?' (Leave me alone, what do you want?)

'Please, Ummi, must I say it loud?' he frowned.

'Yes! Say it loud, let everyone hear you!'

'Subhanallah, Ummi,' he groaned dramatically. 'See what Ukhti is making bab....do!' Then he noticed me and grinned slyly. 'Zarah, wallahi, she's tired. Allow her to rest. She just came back from a long journey.'

He tried snatching the knife from my hand.

'Leave her,' Ummi scolded, smacking his back. 'Oya, let's  go!'
