You know, at this point, I don't even know where this story is leading lol XD

{Natsu POV}

Today, I decided to invite Lucy over.

"You sure?" Lucy asked.

A few weeks had passed since that mall incident. I completely ignored the plan I had set up.

"I've only ever visited your house. It's only fair if you visit mine, right?"

"Y-Yeah, I guess..."

"Let's go!"

I smiled, and we held hands.

"Will your parents be there?" She asked.

"Huh? Yeah." I said, as a fresh breeze blew past. "Why?"

Her hand tensed. "I'm going to tell..."

"Huh?"

She took a deep breath, and smiled. "Nah, it's nothing."

I decided to drop the subject, and we continued to talk.

(Time skip)

"I...Please, you can't marry your son like that, sir."

"Excuse me?"

Surprised, I tried to pull her back down into her seat. "Lucy, what're you...? Are you out of your mind?"

"No, I'm not." She replied. "Sir, do you really believe this is the best choice for your son? He deserves more than...than her."

"You don't think I know that already, young lady?" Father asked. I could tell Lucy was pushing his buttons. What was wrong with her today?

"So you're saying the company is more important that Natsu." Lucy said. "He's your son. Your family."

"And for the sake of that family, I am marrying him to someone even I don't like, do you understand?"

"That's not for him!" Lucy said. Before she continued, she took a shaky breath. "And I, as his girlfriend, can't accept it."

A bright red crossed my face, as she sat back down. "I'm sorry if I was being rude, I was only speaking my mind."

She continued to sip her tea, quietly setting her cup down.

Father smirked. "You've got some nerve."

She smiled. "Thank you."

"However, that does not change my mind." He said. Lucy exhaled quietly. I could see her tongue pressing against her cheek, and I couldn't help but think she was cute.

She set her cup down. "Sir..."

"And as Natsu's father, I cannot accept the fact that you are my son's girlfriend."

That froze the both of us.

"...What?"

"Honey, what're you saying all of a sudden?"

"Yeah, hold on Dad—"

"I will not allow my son to marry someone of lower status. Especially someone with a disability." He said bluntly.

"Father!" I yelled, standing up. "That's going too far!"

He glared at me. "Sit down."

Angrily, I sat down, but Lucy stood up instead. Her aura...it almost felt threatening.

"So I just have to prove that I'm better than her, right? I have to prove that I can be a better partner to Natsu, even with my blindness, right?"

"Lucy—"

"Alright then." She searched for my hand for a few seconds before managing to grab my right wrist. She pulled me towards the door. "Just a reminder, sir. Love isn't something you sacrifice for something as insignificant as money. I can't say anything about myself, since I can't really do anything without evidence, but please don't end our relationship like that."

Our footsteps echoed in the hallways, Father's calls fading away behind us.

I stopped her before she bumped into a wall. I pulled her back and embraced her, her back touching my chest.

"Hey, you okay?"

"Yeah, just..." She sighed. "Sorry, I shouldn't have done that..."

I smiled. "I'm glad you did it."

"Huh? You are?"

"Someone needs to teach that old man some life lessons." I said, rolling my eyes. I let her go and grabbed her hand. "Sorry that the visit ended like this. Come on, I'll take you home."

(Time skip)

When we arrived, she gave me a kiss, and went on her way.

As I sighed sleepily, something suddenly grabbed my arm and pulled me with a strong force.

"What the—!"

Before I knew it, I had my arms pinned behind me, a hand over my mouth.

"It'll do you good if ya shut up and make no noise."

His baritone voice was unrecognizable.
