Very short chapter ahead! Like...VERY VERY short 😁

{Lucy POV}

The fateful day arrived.

"Here you are, dear." Natsu's father handed me the suitcase.

"And here's the ticket." Mom handed me a long piece of paper. "Make sure to tell him that it's a ticket to the States, you understand?"

I nodded.

"Be careful." Sting gave me a tight squeeze. "Please."

I took a deep breath, and nodded.
"No promises." I joked.

I exited the car, swallowing. I haven't seen Natsu for so long...

I wondered if I would meet him today with both his eyes intact.

As I walked, Eagle stuck close by me, as if he knew what was going on.

"Don't worry, Eagle. I'm sure Natsu will be fine. I'll-No, we'll bring him back safely."

He barked in response. I smiled, though I knew it in my core that it was fake.

We arrived at the spot, stopping.

"Natsu...?" I called out. The suitcase felt heavy in my hand. Shivers ran down my spine as a slight breeze blew by.

"Well, you came alone after all." I flinched and turned around.

Eagle started barking and pulling at his leash.

"Eagle, stop it."

"Well, you aren't alone, but I won't count the dog."

Thud!

"Where's Natsu...?" I asked. "I...I have your everything you've asked for."

"You heard that thud, didn't you?" He asked. My eyes widened.

Footsteps, and soon, he had me trapped near a wall.

"I'll be taking this." He said, snatching the suitcase away from me. My body started to shake. "There's your stupid boyfriend."

I covered my mouth, trying to prevent myself from whimpering.

"Oh, and one more thing..."

Splurt!

I coughed, the air leaving my lungs.

My head shaking, I grabbed the man's arms. "W-W-W-W-What..."

My legs turned into jello, and soon they gave in.

I fell to my knees, pain engulfing me.

"Good luck calling for help." He whispered. "This is for my princess, Sammy."

His footsteps faded away as the knife spilled my blood like a waterfall.
