{Lucy POV}

People don't realize how blessed they are to have eyes and vision.

I sure didn't.

When I lost my vision, it was hell for me. I didn't want to do anything. The house that I once found so familiar seemed like a completely new world.

Eventually, I got used to the darkness. Dad got me my service dog, Eagle, and my family was very supportive.

"Alright, we're here. Watch for the steps." Sting said.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.

The school always had 7 steps at the entrance. I never grew tired of counting them.

"Wow."

"What is it?"

"I can't believe how much I hate school."

I giggled. Sting walked me to Mira-san's classroom.

"Lucy! Welcome!"

Eagle barked excitedly, pulling at his leash. Sting kissed my cheek.

"Have a good day, okay?"

"Thanks, Sting."

He left, probably on his way to class. Mira-San led me to my seat.

"How are you today, Lucy?"

"I'm okay, thank you." I said, smiling. Eagle laid down next to my desk, just like every other day.

"Did you practice those Braille worksheets I gave you?"

I nodded, reaching into my backpack. "I think I have them in my bag..."

I took what felt like a folder. "Maybe it's in here?"

Mira-San gently took it from my hands and opened it up.

"Here it is!"  Boards shuffled together, and Mira-San put the folder on my desk. A moment of silence.

"Wow, Lucy! You've improved!"

I smiled. "Thank you."

"I think you can start reading chapter books with Braille now!"

I beamed. "Really?"

I could literally feel Mira-san's smile.

{Natsu POV}

"School?"

"Yes."

I was confused. "But I was going to school abroad. Why the sudden change?"

Father smiled. "You will see."

I tilted my head. "Ok then..."

"In fact, I already registered you a few weeks ago into a nearby high school, so you should be going tomorrow."

I looked up from my food. "What school is it?"

"Fairy Tail High."

I nodded. "Yeah, I've heard of that place. Most of my friends from middle school go there."

Mother smiled. "That's wonderful! I was worried you'd only be surrounded by girls there."

I scoffed, but smiled. "Yes, Mother. Like I'd be surrounded by girls."

She reached over and patted my face. "You're a very handsome boy, Natsu. I'd be SURPRISED if you weren't."

I playfully rolled my eyes. "Ok, ok."
