{Lucy POV}

"I'm sure he'll love it."

Sting had helped me dress into my outfit for the day. Well, it wasn't just any normal day...

"A-Are you sure?"

I wasn't exactly sure what the outfit looked like, but it felt like a dress.

"Normally, I would've asked Mira to help you, but..."

"I-It's okay..." I said, fidgeting. My exhale came out in shaky breaths.

"What's wrong? Is it uncomfortable?"

I shook my head. "I-I-I'm just really, really nervous."

I felt his smile literally bear a hole in me. "Don't worry! You clearly told me it wasn't a date, right?"

"N-No! We're just hanging out as friends! Nothing more, nothing less!" I said, rubbing my bare arms.

Sting laughed and squeezed my shoulder. "Alright! Go have fun!"

I grabbed Eagle's leash and grabbed my belongings. Sting told me not to wear my glasses today, because Natsu seemed to like it.

"Uh...why does that matter?" I had asked.

"Oh, it's nothing." Sting had said with a laugh.

I walked out of the house, taking a deep breath. Before I could release it, someone grabbed my wrist.

"Ahh!" I yelled.

"Lucy!" I was pulled into a hug. His familiar smell filled my nose.

"Natsu?"

"Sup?"

I smiled, before punching him. "You...You scared me!"

"Owowwwww. Sorry...I was just super excited!"

I smiled. Eagle was barking excitedly, jumping around. Natsu greeted him, before we started walking.

"We're gonna eat first! Any place in mind?" Natsu asked. I was really hungry, so that was a relief.

"It's okay, you can choose!" I said. "Well, actually..."

"Huh?"

"I need...to...you know, I need a restaurant who has menus in Braille...?"

Natsu clapped his hands. "Righhhtt. I almost forgot. Sorry, Lucy."

"It's okay." I said, as we turned a corner.

"Well then! You can choose!" Natsu said. "Do you know any places?"

I nodded. "Yeah, actually. It's near here."

"What's it called?"

I told him the name and we started to walk. As we did, Natsu made me laugh, and we talked about the most random things.

"Then I told her, 'It's not my fault I'm blind.'" Natsu laughed. I laughed with him.

"That guy has got to be the most messed up dude in the world." Natsu said, still laughing. "But I can't believe you actually said that!"

"Sting was surprised too." I said, laughing. I sighed, trying to calm myself down. The sun shined brightly, its glow visible. "Wow, the sun is shining really brightly."

"Yep. It's a bit bright." Natsu said. A ruffle of his clothes told me he moved his wrist to cover his eyes from the sun.

"Oh! We're here."

We walked up the stairs, opening up the door. We walked in and I stopped. The noisy sounds of customers filled my ears.

"Hello--Oh, dogs aren't allowed ma'am." A female voice said.

"Ah, he's a service dog." I said, pointing at Eagle's jacket.

"Oh! Alright then. Party of two, yes?"

"Yes." Natsu said. As her footsteps disappeared into the sound crowd, Natsu leaned into my ear. "I think she was a fan. She kept staring at me all dumbfounded."

I giggled. "I wouldn't be surprised if everyone in here knew you."

Soon enough, we were at a table. The waitress got me a Braille menu, and left.

"Hey...I feel like there are people watching us..." I said, a bit creeped out as shivers went down my spine. Murmurs surrounded me.

"Is it uncomfortable? Should we go somewhere else?" Natsu asked, worry clear in his voice. I shook my head.

"No, I don't want to ruin our day." I said, reading the menu.

{Natsu POV}

I was used to the stares. Some took out their phones and took a picture of me. I smiled at everyone I made eye-contact with, but stared worriedly at her eyes as they wandered around.

"Hey, maybe we should go somewhere else?" I asked again. "You don't seem so...comfortable."

"I'm fine, Natsu. Don't worry." She said. She took a deep breath, and calmed down. I tried to ignore it, and continued to look for something to eat.

"The Fettucine Alfredo, please."

"Spinach Pasta, please."

After we ordered, Lucy started reaching her hand towards me.

"Um...you need something, Lucy?"

"Can I feel your hand?"

I felt the blood rush to my face. "W-What?"

"I haven't felt it in a long time, it might've changed." She said. "I want to be able to recognize it."

Hesitantly, I reached over the table and gently placed my hand in hers. She wrapped both of her hands and glided her hands across my skin.

"Your hands have gotten softer." She said, gently brushing her hand against mine.

"L-Lis always made me put on hand cream..."

Her hand stopped. "Oh...I see."

She stopped touching my hand and put her hands on her lap. "Well, it's good for your hands, I guess..."

For some reason, the atmosphere seemed...really tense.

"Hey, is something wrong?" I asked. "Did I say something?"

She shook her head. "No, it's just the stares..."

This was supposed to be our day together. I didn't want to ruin it.

"Alright, lets get out of here."

"What?"

I grabbed her hand, her dog's leash and our bags, and ran out of there. She stumbled a lot, but I made sure she didn't fall. Eagle excitedly ran with us.

When I finally stopped, I crashed on a nearby bench, pulling Lucy with me. We were panting like crazy.

"What...was...that for...?" Lucy asked, putting her hand to her heart. "You almost killed me!"

"Well, that wasn't my intention." I said, gasping for air. "I was tryna lighten up the mood, y'know? It's the day where we can just hang out like friends! C'mon, Lucy, please be happy!"

Lucy sat up straight, calming down. She smiled, before laughing, which made her more out of breath.

"Thanks, Natsu." She said. "That did make me feel better."

"Oh! Natsu? Lucy! What a coincidence!"

I flinched and turned around.

"..."

"Lis?"
