{Natsu POV}
I pulled away, and smiled as Lucy's face turned red.
"You...You just..." Her quivering hand touched her lips. I pulled her hand away.
"No no. Don't touch your lips just yet! You have to let it sink in." I said, smirking. Her face seemed to turn even redder, and she smacked me. "Ow!"
"D-Don't just do that without a heads up!" She said, walking ahead. Eagle barked excitedly, as if congratulating me. I smiled, feeling giddy, and held her hand.
She threw my hand down and continued to walk.
"Aww, are you angry at me?"
My tongue touched the side of my cheek, my lips pulling up to a smile. She's terribly cute.
But if she hears me say that, she'll kill me.
I caught up to her, walking next to her.
"Hey~ Don't be mad." I said. "I know you liked it."
I grabbed her hand once more, but this time, she didn't let go.
I smiled, as we arrived at her house.
"Bye." She tried to quickly run away, but I grabbed her wrist and pulled her into a hug.
She didn't do anything. I smiled and hugged her tighter. She eventually lifted her arms and hugged me back.
"Have a nice evening." I said. She smiled.
"You too."
We parted ways, and I walked home.
I smiled, and danced like a little kid. Today was probably the best day of my life. I arrived at my home and entered.
"Natsu."
I walked into the house, and immediately heard my name being called. "Huh? Father? Was that you?"
"Come see me, Natsu."
I entered the dining room. My parents were sitting around the table, with two people I didn't recognize.
"Oh, um...Hello." I said, bowing. They nodded their heads, and I awkwardly sat in an empty seat.
We were quiet for some time. The two strangers actually seemed pretty familiar.
"I think I've—"
"Natsu."
I flinched. "Yes?"
My dad looked at me. "You know these people, right?"
"Um...They look familiar."
"They're Mr and Mrs Strauss." Mom said. I tried not to show my surprise. My eyes widened and my fists clenched almost immediately.
"You mean..."
"Yes, Ms. Lisanna's parents. They were at the courthouse when she was..." Mom put a hand over Dad's, and he shut up.
"Anyways, they're here to discuss something rather important." Mom said, smiling nervously.
I curiously listened as they filled me in.
{Lucy POV}(minutes after entering her home...)
I walked into the house, and shut the door behind me. Eagle went ahead, into the house.
"Oh god..." I said, putting my hand over my chest. I heard someone walk down the stairs.
"Oh, it's you." Laxus's voice was heard. He came over. "You look like you just had a heart attack. You ok?"
"I think I just had a heart attack, Nii-Chan." I said. "Oh god, help me."
"You came back from your date, right?" He asked. I tensed. "Bingo."
He sighed. "Welp, I have news that might not help with your heart attack."
"Huh?"
"Rogue and your stupid twin is going out." He said. "They're upstairs."
I gasped. "Are you serious?"
"Yup." He said. "They were kissing earlier."
I gasped even louder. "That didn't help with my heart attack at all."
"Knew it." He grabbed my hand and helped me upstairs. "Go change and see what they're up to now."
I smiled. "No, I think I'll leave them alone."
"Suit yourself." He helped me change and left the room after I thanked him.
"Today~Was a gooooood day~" I sang, sitting on my bed.
I smiled. Natsu's voice rang in my ears, and my imaginary version of him popped up in my head.
Just as I was about to lay down...
Ring! Ring! Ring!
(Btw, Lucy has a phone where the numbers and letters are written in Braille. It's a flip phone.)
I felt around for my phone, and found it, feeling for the answer button.
"Hello?"
"Foolish girl...you answered?"
Chills went down my spine, and every nerve in my body froze. My lips started to quiver as all positive thoughts left me.
"Remember me?"
