{Lucy POV}

I heard noises from the halls. It was lunchtime now, so I decided to walk for a bit around campus.

Eagle was used to the campus, so I got my walking stick, grabbed his leash, and headed out as the bell rang.

"Going on a walk?" Mira-San asked. I nodded. "Be careful, ok?"

"Ok."

I started to walk. A fresh breeze blew by, but I could tell I was still inside.

"Eagle, do you think we can walk for longer today?"

Eagle barked in response.

As I went down a few steps, I tripped and accidentally fell. Eagle started to bark.

"Eagle, I'm ok..."

Laughter.

"Look, the cripple fell!" More laughter. Their voices had a small echo, which told me I was outside, on the grass. It smelled of dirt.

"Eagle, be quiet." I said, feeling around for my furry friend. I managed to find him, and pulled him close to me.

"I feel bad for that dog." The girl taunted. I didn't know what she looked like, but by her voice, I could tell she was an asshole.

And I didn't like assholes.

"Why do you even come here? Why not go to some other school for cripples like you? Huh?" The girl said.

"Sting..." I whispered, shaking. Eagle was barking.

Suddenly, a force made him stop. He whimpered, and flinched.

"No! Don't hurt my dog!" I said, hugging him tighter. "That's animal abuse! Stop it!"

"Aww, and what're you going to do about it?" A different voice, this time a male, said.

"Hey. What's going on here?"

I was shivering. Eagle was whimpering. I hugged him, tears spilling from my eyes.

"N-Natsu?! THE Natsu Dragneel?!"

Who was that?

"Why're you guys picking on her?"

Silence. "She's just some worthless cripple! She's useless! That's why!"

"That's really not nice. I'm going to have to report you." The voice said. It sounded gentle, but firm.

A warm hand grabbed my wrist gently. "Come on, student. What's your name?"

"W-Who are you?" I asked, moving my wrist. "A-Are you going to hurt me?"

"Of course not! Why would I?" He tried to help me up, but I stopped.

"I-I'm okay on my own, thanks—"

"Lucy! Natsu?"

The familiar voice immediately warned me up. "S-Sting?"

His cologne hit my nose as his warm arms wrapped around me. "Are you okay?"

"I-I think Eagle is hurt..."

"Don't worry, he's fine. He's not bleeding or anything." Sting checked if he was okay. "Yeah, he's fine, don't worry."

I sighed with relief. Sting stood up.

"What is wrong with all of you? Didn't I tell you leave her alone?" His voice echoed as the students slowly murmured their fake apologies. They dispersed, and soon, it was silent.

"Here." Sting helped me up. "Are you sure you're okay?"

"Yes, I'm fine..." I said, feeling around and up his arms. He let me until I reached his face. "Are you?"

"What do you mean? Of course I'm fine."

"You were hurt the last time you helped me."

"I'm okay. Really." He kissed my hand and gently wrapped his hand around it. "Thanks, Natsu."

"She's your girlfriend?"

Sting laughed. "My sister."

"Ah."

"Lucy, Natsu's my friend from middle school. No need to be afraid of him."

I nodded. "I'm sorry, I have a really hard time trusting people..."

"It's okay! I get it." He said. His voice was kind, gentle. "I'm Natsu Dragneel, nice to meet you."

"Lucy Heartfilia. Likewise." We shook hands, and I smiled. "Can you describe your face for me?"

"Huh?"

Sting laughed. "Lucy likes to draw what she thinks other people look like, based on their descriptions."

"Oh." Natsu laughed. "Well...lets see. I have black eyes, a sharp nose, physically and figuratively, uhh...thin lips, tan skin and salmon-pink hair!"

"He's also very muscular, just like me." Sting said. I smiled as I drew Natsu in my head.

"You're very handsome."

Silence. "Um...thanks."

"Woah, Natsu, your face is so red!"

"What? No it's not!"

"Wahahahhahaha! Are you falling for my sister already?"

"No, it's not that! It's just the first time someone has ever said that so suddenly without even knowing who I am!"

"Hey, thats true. Lucy, you don't know who Natsu Dragneel is, do you?"

I shook my head. "No."

"He's the second son of Win Fashion."

"Win Fashion...?" Something snapped. "Wait...Wait, what?!"

"Yeah! I'm friends with this dude!" Sting said, laughing. He felt so...relaxed. I was glad he had so many good friends.

"Come on. Let's take you back to your classroom." Sting said. "Wanna tag along, Natsu?"

"Sure!"

{Sting POV}

We dropped her off and headed off to class.

"Why didn't you say anything?" Natsu asked. "Does it hurt?"

I winced as another wave of pain hit me.

"The students here are so aggressive." Natsu grabbed my wrist and led me to his locker. He gave me some ointment and a bandaid.

"Thanks, dude."

"Yup."

"Hey, don't tell my sister about it, okay? She'd be heartbroken."

Natsu hesitated, before sighing. "Alright."
