Song: I Only Have Eyes For You by The Flamingos (scroll for YouTube audio)

I don't know if we're in a garden

Or on a crowded avenue

You are here and so am I

Maybe millions of people go by

But they all disappear from view

And I only have eyes for you.

You had always loved music.

Ever since you were a young girl, music had been by your side when everyone else disappeared.

Music had been there countless late nights when it was just you and the darkness.

Music was, in an essence, a part of your very being.

So it's no surprise that a soft pop song is floating through the Bluetooth speaker sitting on the bookshelf next to where you're sitting - at the dining room table of the New Avengers Complex.

Head buried in a pile of papers and the laptop screen in front of you, the faint sound of someone pulling a seat out from your side and settling into it seconds later, barely registers with you.

"You seem to be taking Stark's suggestion on catching up on every recent event quite literally," The familiar teasing tone of Bucky Barnes sounds from your right as you groggily raise your head from the computer screen to face him.

He wears a tired expression on his features, but a slight glimmer of cheer shines in his steely blue gaze, waking you up slightly.

"Yeah," You yawn, leaning back in your chair with a stretch of your arms. "I figured I might find something useful to give to everyone once they get back."

"On that criminal ring in Mexico City?" The man beside you queries, gesturing to the image onscreen.

"Yes," You nod, a slight smile playing on your lips as you turn to look at screen yourself, shaking your head as a sudden heavy sigh replaces your previous grin. "A criminal ring which might have links to the remaining members of HYDRA."

"I just fail to see why they would run there," Bucky muses aloud, his brows furrowing in confusion.

"Beats me," You mutter, your attention now refocused on the work in front of you. "But I intend to find out."

As you resume typing away and comparing notes with the papers scattered around you, a slight wave of fatigue falls over you, though you shove it aside.

Focus, Y/N.

The closer you get to figuring out just who might be linked to this ring, the sooner the Team can put them down.

Stifling a yawn, you sigh yet again, reaching for your coffee mug, only to find it empty.

"Huh," You murmur, grumbling beneath your breath as you set the empty mug back to the side, continuing on without caffeine.

"What's wrong, doll?" Bucky's rather soft tone sounds from beside you still - you'd forgotten he was still sitting with you.

Noticing your sudden jump, he chuckles softly, setting a hand on your shoulder as he makes his way to his feet, heading towards the kitchen.

"Out of coffee. Got it."

"Buck! Please, it's fine! Honestly-" You protest, only to earn a slight death glare from the former assassin now rummaging around the cupboards, looking for a mug.
