Life at the New Avengers Complex never seemed to have a singular dull moment.

People constantly coming and going...

New missions left, right and centre...

Constant training exercises to keep our skills sharp...

Needless to say, it's quite difficult to find any sort of time to have to yourself, let alone time to have together with your Partner.

But, you both always find a work-around.

And this particular work-around usually consists of either one of you sneaking into each other's rooms late at night to chat, cuddle or simply enjoy the presence of the other person.

However, staying up until the wee hours of the morning can take its toll on a person, even if one of them is a 100 year old super-soldier.

Both you and Bucky Barnes learned to cope with the drowsiness that oh so often clung to both of your bones after waking up in each other's arms, only to realize that you can't get the five more minutes any sort of typical couple would manage to steal away.

No, rather, you have Missions to tend to - training to work on.

Considering the circumstances, it's quite impressive that you do as well as you do, keeping on top of your A-Game.

Even when you feel like every bone in your body is going to collapse under your weight simply due to the sheer amount of exhaustion running through you.

You can't imagine what everyone else must be seeing on the outside if you feel that way internally.

So, it's no surprise when Steve and Natasha simply share a nod, casting their gazes to where both you and your Partner are seated around the usual briefing table, silently slipping the Mission folder back into the basket and dismissing the Team.

Slightly confused, you watch as everyone else leaves, chattering amongst themselves about their latest assignments, almost sounding excited for something new to add to their agendas.

"You guys look like absolute crap," Nat finally chuckles, the sound of footsteps and chatter now gone as she tosses you a knowing grin.

"That sums it up to a tee," Steve also chuckles, taking a seat, his gaze not wandering from the pair of you. "Are you guys okay?"

Ironically, you attempt to stifle back a yawn, though you fail miserably, the sound getting caught in your throat.

"We're just fine. Tired, that's all," Bucky assures from your side, leaning back in his chair slightly, passing you a small smile to which you return.

"Tired from training or tired from extracurricular activities," The redhead smirks, a teasing glimmer in her eyes.

"Oh shut it, Nat," You grumble, crossing your arms across your chest as if to hide your rising embarrassment.

"You two are a thing, aren't you?" She continues to press, the heat in your cheeks continuing to deepen.

"You could say that," The man beside you grins, his tone almost carrying an air of pride to it, his good arm slinging around your shoulders.

"You two totally are a thing."

"No we're-"

"C'mon Y/N! It's obvious, you know," Steve teases, a slight smirk tugging at his lips before shifting his gaze to his best friend. "Well, Buck?"

Instantly, your own gaze swivels to your boyfriend, watching to see if he would finally confess what the both of you had decided to keep hushed for so long.
