"You all are making a mistake!" You protest as the members of the Avengers surround you where you stand, bloodied and beaten.
"How so?" Captain America presses, nearing you warily, his shield idle on his lower arm, the woman they call Black Widow at his side.
"If you take me, you'll be leading HYDRA right to your doorstep!" You exclaim, motioning to the charred, battle burdened piece of Interstate you all are standing on, sighing. "You do understand that though I work for them, I don't agree with what they're doing, right? Did I not make that much clear by surrendering peacefully?"
You sigh heavily once more, un-holstering both of the pistols at your sides and laying them at your feet in front of you, gaze wandering your surroundings briefly.
The rest of your team and the Winter Soldier are all nowhere to be found.
They left without me.
Again.
"That's what they all say," Iron Man pipes up, the faceplate of his helmet retracting to reveal the familiar looking billionaire by the name of Tony Stark. "I say we bring her in for questioning, Cap. Maybe get some answers on that other lead we've been chasing?"
"I'm with Tony on this one, Steve," The red haired woman admits, eyeing you over before flicking her gaze towards the man dressed in red, white and blue. "She could be useful."
"Alright," The Captain starts, once more drawing closer to you, his piercing blue eyes boring into your skull, watching your every movement. "You're coming with us then."
"If you say so," You nod, extending your arms towards the man who secures your wrists together with a simple pair of handcuffs before guiding you toward a completely blacked out SHIELD SUV.
"Don't try anything," Black Widow snarls, hopping in the rear of the vehicle with you, her gaze not leaving your form. "If you do, you saw what I did to the rest of your team, right?"
"You put bullets through their heads. Yeah, I know."
Without a word, the SUV lurches forward, and as it does, a sudden sickening feeling swells within you.
What if I don't get out of this one?
Nah. HYDRA'll come for me.
