Updated A/N: Above - an ambience video made by me, inspired by the latter part of this one-shot! Enjoy and be sure to check out my content on there!
A/N: Oh Geez, that's a horrible title. But I have no clue what else to title this mess. I officially dislike myself. I told myself I would go to bed in decent time and now it's almost 11:00 PM, which is late for me. Ugh. Oh well. This is a mess. But idk. It's sorta cute? Enjoy.

"Ha. Pick up 4 and I change it to blue. Oh, and UNO," You declare triumphantly, grinning smugly as the man sitting across from you sighs, drawing four cards from the pick-up pile to add to his already overflowing hand of cards.
"You just had to pick blue, didn't you?" Shaun grumbles, rifling through his many cards, searching for something playable, only to shake his head, ultimately drawing yet another card. "This is pointless... Just go, already, Katy."
"Ha. Miss your turn, Y/N. Can you play anything now?" She taunts your other friend still sitting across from you, almost fuming at the outcome of this particular game of UNO.
"As a matter of fact, I can," He grins suddenly, placing a blue miss-your-turn card on top of the play pile. "Just finish this. Please."
Smirking in satisfaction, you listen to Katy groan in protest as you place your final card atop the pile, rendering the usual Friday night game of UNO officially over.
"Two weeks in a row! Seriously?! How'd we let her win?"
"We didn't," Shaun chuckles, tossing his cards down in defeat, adding to the already discarded ones on the tabletop. "Apparently, she's just ridiculously good at UNO."
"I'm not that good, guys!" You admit humbly, gathering up your own cards and Katy's before passing them to the man in front of you, who stashes them away on the shelf behind him. "It's just pure luck of the hand, that's all."
"Sure, sure, sure," Your evidently annoyed friend mutters, hastily standing up from her chair and heading towards the door.
"Where are you off to in such a rush?" You muse aloud with a light laugh, watching your best friend since high school attempt to slip back into her shoes.
"Yeah. What gives?" A familiar voice echoes from behind your own standing figure now, the source of the voice appearing moments later at your side. "I thought we were going for round twelve."
"You guys go ahead," Katy practically hisses, grabbing the doorframe as she nearly falls over, finally managing to get her shoes back on. "But I've gotta go. I promised my brother I'd help with the closing shift at the store."
"Since when do you keep your promises? And to your brother no less?" Shaun chuckles, to which Katy just scoffs in mock offence.
"Since today, Shaun," She states firmly before turning to you. "See you later, dude."
