I'm here for you

Chapter 4

Shikamaru and Naruto both went to Ichiraku to get something to eat, they both sat down on the stools and ordered. 

Shikamaru looked at Naruto who was eating his Ramen and asked,"So tonight should I come to your place?"  Naruto choked on soup of the Ramen, shikamaru sighed and patted Naruto's back.

Naruto coughed a few time before looking at the Nara,"Eh? My place?" 

Shikamaru furrowed his brows,"Is there a problem with you place?" 

Naruto shook his head,"No everything's alright. You can come to my place. Will 8 do?" Shikamaru nodded,"Yeah. I will come by 8." They both finished eating and Naruto smiled softly,"Thanks Shikamaru." 

Shikamaru stuffed his hands in his pocket,"anytime."

Naruto placed both of his behind his head, acting as a cushion,"So where are you going now?" Shikamaru contemplated for a second,"Home, my mom has something for me to do. What a drag."

Naruto chuckled,"Okay then see you later."

Shikamaru felt his heart skip a beat and he was sure he would never forget that chuckle, he smiled unlike him,"Bye."

Just when Naruto turned his back, Shikamaru called out to him,"Naruto where is house by the way?"

Naruto  scratched the back of his neck,"I am going to have dinner here so meet me here and wee can both walk back to my house." Shikamaru somehow felt something was off but shrugged it off as he nodded,"Okay."

Then They both  went in opposite direction.

Naruto was in his room, his heart was beating so fast that he could hear it in his ear, he thought everything happened few hours ago, Shikamaru was coming over and he would see the condition naruto was livng in, would he hate Naruto for that?

Naruto looked around his house and decided to do some cleaning, he picked up the empty water botte, empty ramen cups, few papers and threw it in the trash can. He picked his white shirt and blue shorts and threw it in the bucket of dirty clothes, he changed his bedsheet and started sweeping the house, then he did the dishes.

After everything was done, he looked at the walls that has 'Demon' 'Monster' and  'whore' written over by the villagers, he tried to clean it but it just won't come off. He sighed and massaged his temples, he was tired and every bone in his body ached.

When was the  last time he actually rested? He doesn't remember. He was clearly exhausted.His life haven't ever been peaceful. 

Naruto looked at the clock, 7:09 pm, he was cleaning for 4 hours? He didn't know cleaning took so much time and his house wasn't even that messy. So what took his time? Ahh....that writing, that he wanted to clean so much, the villagers has always hated him because he was a Nine-tailed Jinchuriki. He understands that kurama has destroyed many lives but he was controlled by someone, can't they understand that.

Can't they understand Kurama was not bad? Huh? They are the ones who are bad.

Kurama couldn't help but smile when he heard Naruto's thought though he kept quiet.

Naruto waited at Ichiraku for Shikamaru to arrive, it was 7:57 right now. He looked around and just when he turned to Teuchi, a hand was placed on his shoulder, Naruto turned back and smiled,"Let's go shall we?" Shikamaru nodded.

They both started walking towards Naruto's house, in silence, Shikamaru was walking a step behind Naruto and his eyes twitch at where they were going. They were walking towards  a red light area.

The alley was dark and there were drunk man on the ground, a man was going to grab Naruto but Naruto avoided him skillfully, Shikamaru asked in disbelief,"Naruto?"

Naruto chuckled,"You know Shikamaru, kakashi sensei should learn from you how to arrive on time." Shikamaru did not like How Naruto was laughing at this moment, this situation was not funny at all.

After a second, Naruto exclaimed,"We are here." He opened his door, and the first thing Shikamaru noticed was how clean the house was, and the next second his eyes laid on the writings on the walls, he could feel the anger boiling in him,"Who did this? Why do you live at such place? Why are you smiling? This situation is not funny at all." 

Naruto felt his heart clench, this was the first time someone asked him this, he said, his smile vanishing,"The villagers lost their loved ones when the kyuubi attacked and they know I am Kyuubi's container so they took their anger out on me, some thought I am the 'kyuubi' funny right? Regarding why I live here? I was kicked out of orphanage when I was 5? or maybe 4? Though I asked kakashi sensei to let me live in my parents house but due to so much work it's being delayed."

Shikamaru's heart ached, he didn't knew Naruto went through so much when he was young, he didn't know what Naruto is going through and he calls himself his friend, he was angry towards those bloody villagers whom Naruto saved multiple times. Shikamaru walked forward and hugged the blonde,"I am sorry." Naruto was surprised, but he then hugged him back.

For a while they both talked about various stuff, then it was the time to sleep, Shikamaru asked,"so what should we do?"

Naruto scratched his cheeks,"Lay on the bed and sleep? Hoping I don't get a nightmare?" Shikamaru once again nodded.

They both changed into comfortable sleepware and laid on the bed, they both were stiff but then shikamaru turned towards Naruto,"Come here Naruto."

Naruto furrowed his brows,"Eh??"

Shikamaru said,"Last both times you were...you know in my arms, we don't know if it would work if we sleep far away. So come here." 

Shikamaru chose to ignore his heart. He meant what he said, it's not because he want to sleep with Naruto in his arms. It's NOT!

Naruto mumbled,"Makes sense." and went in Shikamaru's arms.  He hid his face in the other's chest as other wrapped his arms around his waist.

They both resisted the urge to sigh in relief.

Author's Note: 

So how is this chapter? I made it a bit lengthy. Also in the last chapter I asked about what pair should be in my other fanfiction and someone said it should be kibanaru. So I was thinking about writing a time travel kibanaru, tell me your thoughts. Although that fanfiction I will write after I finish with this one. See you next chapter guys.
