I'm here for you

Chapter 25

Shikamaru and Naruto laid down besides each other on the ground, their hand linked together, Shikamaru gently squeezed the blonde's hand as he looked at the clouds. The warmness felt so good.

Naruto had so many questions in his mind but he didn't know where to start and what to say, few minutes passed by after they kissed and all they did was stare at each other or at the clouds in silence. Although none of them minded the silence as it was so comfortable.

"Um...." few minutes later Naruto finally decided to speak, the Nara turned his head and looked at Naruto, a warm smile plastered on his face,"Hm?" He knew that Naruto has many questions and there are many things he has to explain to the blonde but he didn't know where to start. He has been thinking about from where to begin all this time.

Naruto took in a deep breath, as he prepared himself to ask,"Shikamaru what about Temari? Yesterday I saw you two together and you two were still dating so....what happened?"

Shikamaru sat up with Naruto following him after, the atmosphere got all serious, the Nara took the blonde's hand in his own, squeezing it again, he looked up straight into the blue eyes,"I broke up with her yesterday night after you left with Kiba, I didn't love her at all, the only person I had in mind was you."

There was a pause for a seconds, as their hearts continued beating at a rapid pace, Shikamaru gently ran his thumb across the blonde's palm as he added,"I always wanted a normal life, with  a wife and a two children, a girl and boy, I would go on a missions and when I come home, I would meet with my warm family, when my daughter grows up I would marry her to a reliable young man and my son would take over my house." He paused for a second to check if the blonde was listening to him and when he knew he was, Shikamaru continued,"This was the dream life I always wanted to have but you know after meeting you I felt all of this was not necessary to have a happy life,  I have been thinking about it and I knew that having you in my life would give me so much more happiness then having all of this with Temari, because I love you Naruto Uzumaki."

A strange warmth engulfed Naruto's whole body, his chest felt so tight but it was not a bad feelings, his lips quivered as he tried to speak something, anything yet no words came out, a tear slipped down before soundlessly disappearing, Shikamaru paanicked seeing Naruto like this, he hugged the blonde,"A-are yo..u oKay? Why are you crying? Naru? N-naruto?" 

Naruto hugged Shikamaru back, his hand clutching the sides of Shikamaru's tshirt, a small smile formed on his lips,"I am fine. I am more than fine. It's just I am too happy, I am so happy Shika~ So so so happy~ and I also love you. A lot. Shikamaru Nara I love you so much!!"

Hearing this a a sigh of relief left Shikamaru's lips, he moved a bit away, he gently cupped Naruto's cheeks and wiped the tears with his thumb, he gently placed his lips on Naruto's forehead,"Will you be my boyfriend?" He asked as he looked deep into the blonde's eyes, Naruto nodded,"I would love to." He placed a kiss on Shikamaru's cheeks as he grinned and moved away,"Kiba was actually right."

When 'Kiba' was mentioned, Shikamaru raised his eyebrows, his heart clenching as  he asked,"What was he right about?" This time Naruto took Shikamaru's hand,"He was the one who helped me realise my feelings for you and he was the one to advice me to confess to you."

"He did?" Shikamaru didn't hide the surprise in his voice. 

Naruto nodded,"Yes. He said something like 'I know he has feelings for you too, you should definitely confess, my senses are telling me so, just do it man!' What he said was right, I should thank him later. He is the best friend and brother I could ever ask for. I am so glad that I listened to his advice."

Shikamaru's eyes widened in surprise, he felt a bit embarassed for being jealous of them, then a second later he smiled,"Then later let's thank him together."

Naruto smiled back,"Okay."

Shikamaru's heart felt so light right now, he leaned in and kissed the blonde who was surprised but kissed back nonetheless.

Author's Note:

I was supposed to update yesterday but since my lectures got extended I couldn't,  so I uploaded today. Anyway  finally all the questions between them are answered, next chapter would be a reaction to their dating news and the last one would show their marriage life. I have a question tho, "Should I make Naruto give birth like mpreg or smth" OR "should they adopt a child?"
