Episode 9, The Waterbending Scroll

The ship was full of valuable things and I was certain that they were stolen. The pirates were looking creepy making me uncomfortable. Iroh and Zuko went to look at something while I was just walking around and looking at nothing special.

I stopped and smiled when I saw a shelve with old books. I walked towards it and looked through the titles of the different books.

One book caught my attention. It had a leather bound and the writing looked very old. 'the history of bending: how did we get the ability to bend' was its title. I pulled it out of the shelve and took a closer look at it flipping though it.

It was very interesting but I sighed and was about to put it back in the shelve because I had no money to buy it when someone stopped beside me.

"You like books?" a pirate asked me and leaned on the shelve. "Yes," I mumbled as I put the book back into the shelve.

He gave me bad vibes and I wanted to get away from him, but he stopped me, "Won't you take it?" he asked me and took the book out of the shelve and held it towards me.

"No thanks," I declined with a polite smile, but he wouldn't let me go. "If you didn't like it, I have many other books in the back of the ship, if you want to have a look at them," he told me with a small smirk on his face.

Disgusting creep, he thinks he can fool me. "I already said no," I told him once again and turned around to walk away but he grabbed my wrist and stopped me.

"Come on don't be party pooper, I'm sure we'll have fun," he said and his smirk grew wider. I tried to shake my arm free but his grip was too tight.

I was surprisingly calm and looked up at him, "Let me go," I said with more force.

"I know you want it too," he said and I took a deep breath to calm my nerves.

"If you don't let go now, I will make sure to burn your whole existence to a pile of ash," I threatened him and tilted my head slightly to the side.

He was about to protest and laugh at me when a familiar voice interrupted us, "Is he bothering you?" Zuko asked and put an arm around my waist.

I froze at the sudden contact and looked at my waist where his hand where and then up at his face with wide eyes and slightly raised eyebrows. Zuko only glanced at me briefly before glaring at the pirate in front of us.

I snapped back from my shocked state and shook my head no. Zuko looked down at my wrist still in the pirate's hand and he let my wrist go immediately when he saw Zuko looking at it. I pulled my hand back and rubbed my wrist a bit because he had a tight grip and shot the pirate a death glare.

He left us alone and I released a deep breath. I just wanted to thank the prince for helping me when another pirate came on the ship to talk to his boss,

"We lost the water tribe girl and the little bald monk she was travelling with," he told his boss and Zuko and I immediately looked at each other exactly knowing who they were talking about before turning our heads to the two pirates.

Zuko let go of my waist and walked towards the two talking pirates. Great, now I have to get involved with pirates.

"This monk, did he have an arrow on his head?" Zuko asked the two to be 100 per cent sure it was Aang they were talking about.

"Yes, how do know," the one dressed in green asked him with narrowed eyes.

"I still have some unfinished business with him," Zuko said and the pirates looked at each other before they nodded, "You'll help us find them, you get the monk and we our waterbending scroll," the one with the bird on his shoulder suggested and stretched out his hand.
