Chapter 26

Episode 8, The Chase

I couldn't believe that Aang and Katara managed to chase our only earthbending teacher off.

"What did I just do?!" Aang threw his hands in the air and I shot him a glare.

"I don't know," I said and put my chin between my thumb and index finger, pretending to think, "Maybe you just blamed her for something she didn't even do. And you both know she's right," I snapped at the two.

Katara looked on the floor with crossed arms and Aang sat on the floor on the edge of crying.

"I was so mean to her," Katara mumbled and I huffed before turning away from them. These idiots. Now we're screwed.

"Yeah, you two were pretty much jerks," Sokka agreed with Katara.

"Thanks Sokka," Katara said sarcastically and crossed her arms.

"No problem," Sokka said seriously and took a sip of his water.

"We don't have much time," I said after I calmed down, "We need to find Toph and get away from here before they find us again."

Katara nodded, "Yes, and we need to apologise to her as well."

"Yeah, that too," I mumbled looking at the sky. I hope nothing serious happens to Toph.

"But what are we gonna do about the tank full of dangerous ladies chasing us?" Sokka asked looking at us from over his shoulder.

"I have a plan," Aang said and looked at Appa.

We began to wash Appa in the nearby river. Katara and Aang splashed Appa with waterbending as Momo and Sokka were rubbing the fur out of him with brushes.

I groaned when they used onlya a bit of water. "Just go all out," I said and raised my hands as a huge water wall rose up from the river. I let my hands fall and the whole water soaked Appa and Sokka.

I let out a giggle at my brother as he glared at me. Katara joined me and covered her hand with her hand.

"Great, more people playing around with water," he grumbled as he drenched out his ponytail.

Appa got back on land and I dried him up with warm smoke coming out of my hands. Aang picked up all the fur we got out of Appa.

"I'm gonna use the fur to make a fake trail and lead the tank off course," he explained as he put the fur into a small backpack.

"Great, lets do it," I smiled and nodded. Me and my siblings got on Appa while Aang took his glider.

With one last look at us, Aang took off and Appa flew in the opposite direction of Aang.

As we were flying, we looke down on the forest in hope to see Toph. Instead of Toph, I saw these lizards following us again.

"We have company," I said and Sokka groaned. Just our luck, Appa had no energy left and he went flying on the ground.

I shot blue fire streams their way but the lizards were fast enough to dodge them. Katara begged Appa to just make it over the river in front of us and he did.

I let out a sigh when Appa immediately fell asleep and we jumped down.

Katara and Sokka laughed and hugged each other. "Sorry to cut your happiess short but they're coming our way," I said as the lizards just walked over the water with no problems.

Katara sent a huge wave their way which hit the girl with the pink outfit. That didn't faze her at all as she jumped off the lizard and onto the shore.
