Episode 6, The Blind Bandit

We were walking around the city in hope to find the Blind Bandit somewhere.

Our little research, which included scaring school boys, led us to the Beifong family.

Currently, we were hiding behind some bushes in front of the Beifong mansion.

"Are you sure that's the right mansion?" I asked and eyed the guards in front of the gates.

Aang nodded, "Yes, that's the flying boar from my vision, come on. Let's check this out."

Aang walked along the huge wall surrounding the mansion and its gardens away from the guarded gates.

"You do realise we're breaking in, so not legal at all," Sokka said while we all climbed over the wall.

"Chill big bro, we're here with the Avatar. We can do whatever we want," I said and looked around the huge garden.

Just when we started to walk towards the house, the earth below us shot up and we went flying into the air.

I let out a small scream when my back made contact with a bush. Luckily I didn't fall on the hard ground.

"What are you doing here twinkle toes?"

I looked up and my face went from hurt to impressed. I quickly stood up and dusted myself off when I saw the Blind Bandit looking at Aang.

A snicker escaped my lips at the nickname she gave Aang. That name somehow was perfect for him.

"How did you know it was me?" Aang asked still lying on the bush.

"Don't answer to twinkle toes. It's not manly," Sokka said in an offended tone. I raised my eyebrow at him.

"You're the one whose bag matches his belt," Katara said and got off the bush.

"How did you find me?" she asked in a demanding way. If I hadn't seen her fighting, I would have laughed at her for trying to seem dangerous.

"Well, a crazy king told me I had to find an earthbender who listens to the earth. And then I had a vision in a magic swamp, and-"

"Aang, you're rambling," I muttered and stopped him from embarrassing himself any further.

"What he actually meant is, he is the Avatar and he kind of needs an earthbending teacher so stop our friend the Fire Lord," I said slowly,  "And you're just perfect," I added with way too much excitement but I couldn't help it, she was way too cool.

"Not my problem, now get out of here before I call the guards," she said coldly and started to walk away but I was still able to catch the small smile on her face when I called her just perfect.

"Look, we all have to do our part o win this war," Sokka tried to persuade her, "And yours is to teach Aang earthbending."

That didn't seem to work since she called the guards for help and we quickly climbed over the wall again to hide.

"You tried," I said and put a hand on my brother's shoulder to comfort him.

I looked at the other two and put my lips into a thin line when I saw their defeated faces.

A mischievous smile was forming on my lips when I got an idea. "How about we pay her family an Avatar visit?"

"We're not going to fight these people, Jasmine," Katara scolded me.

"What did Prince Zuko do to you, mhh?" Sokka asked and got into my face, "You have too much criminal energy."

"Says the one who just went onto the grounds of a rich family without any allowance," I countered and rolled my eyes.
