I never thought I would be stalking someone because of jealousy.

And yet, here I am dressed as a boy and stalking Zuko.

-----

The Tale of Jasmine

After I spend the night at Zuko's and Iroh's place, I was looking for Appa and my family again. Nothing.

And after thinking about what to do, I decided to go back to Zuko's place. I still had no place to stay and it was already dark.

I hesitantly knocked on the door and heard footsteps coming closer to the door.

When Zuko opened the door, I waved at him slightly and shot him a small smile. "Hey, do you by any chance have space for a lost girl?" I asked slowly.

He almost smiled at my questions before letting me in. I was so grateful that I could stay with them.

I've been staying with them for a few days now. Zuko and I haven't talked much. Honestly, I don't know what to say to him. It's kinda awkward between us and I don't know why.

Iroh sense that too and tried to get us to talk by involving both of us in conversations. But that didn't work. We both would just answer shortly before turning away again.

Since I've been staying with them, I am spending some time at the teashop in the mornings and evenings.

For the rest of the time I am looking for the people that just sent me away without even telling me where I could meet them again. Yeah, that's my family.

But what was annoying me the most was this one girl. She had been coming to the teashop for the last couple of days. And she was literally staring at Zuko the whole time.

I even considered confronting her about it but then I shrugged it off. And Zuko that imbecile didn't even notice it.

I was at the teashop again in the morning and was just about to go when Zuko approached me and Iroh.

"Don't look now," he whispered, "But I think a customer is on to us. This girl sitting at the corner table knows we're Fire Nation."

Iroh and me immediately looked over our shoulders but Zuko grabbed our arms and turned us around. "I said don't look," he hissed.

I clenched my teeth when it was the same girl again. She was getting on my nerves.

Iroh smiled knowingly and looked between me and Zuko. "You're right Zuko, I've seen that girl in here quite a lot," he said and I rolled my eyes, "Seems to me she has quite a little crush on you."

I crossed my arms over my chest and let out a quiet huff.

"What?!" Zuko exclaimed his eyes widening. I swear that boy is so oblivious. I really had to resist the urge of face palming and knocking some sense into his brain. He was so focused on his 'honour' that he couldn't even think normally.

"Thank you for the tea," a female voice said from behind us. We all turned around to see the girl standing there with a small smile on her face.

Ugh, she was so beautiful it was annoying me. She gave Zuko money while Iroh had a knowing smile on his face. He briefly glanced at me before glancing at Zuko.

I clenched my jaw when spoke up again. "What's your name?"

Zuko put the money away before turning around to face her. "My name is Lee. We just moved here," he told her.

I bit my lip and looked between the two. "Hi Lee, my name's Jin. Thank you, and well," she said with a littel smile on her face, "I was wondering if you would like to go out some time."

My jaw slightly dropped and Zuko looked confused and overwhelmed with the situation.

Iroh smirked to himself when he glanced at me before going to Zuko's side. "He'd love to," Iroh said with a huge smile.

I took a quick breath and slighlty narrowed my eyes at Iroh.

"Great," Jin said with ecxitement in her voice, "I'll meet you in front of the teashop at sundown." And with that she left the teashop.

Zuko shot his uncle a glare as I shot daggers in the girl's back as she left.

How did she get a date with Zuko in that short amount of time while I hadn't had any progress during the whole time I had spent with him.

I let out another huff and looked at Iroh and Zuko. They were already looking at me and I tried hard to get the annoyance out of my face.

I shot them a forced smile, "I'll get going now, see you in the evening." I quickly left the shop and wandered around the city.

"Ugh, why is this bothering me so much?" I mumbled to myself and put my hands on my head.

My body froze when I overheard a conversation between two girls.

"I know he's cheating on me," one girl exclaimed, her voice cracking before she began to cry.

"We don't know that for sure, Hinata," the other girl tried to calm the crying girl down.

"Yes, I saw how he was flirting with that stupid girl," the girl called Hinata cried out.

"How about we follow him and find out. I'm sure that was just a misunderstanding," the other girl suggested.

A huge smile grew on my face. That was a good idea and I immediately knew that I would be doing that too.

That's when I saw a shop that was selling costumes. My smile was getting even bigger but it fell as soon as I realised what I was doing. I was jealous.

Oh no, I can't believe that I am jealous of Jin. But at  the thought of their date my stomach tightened. So I decided to just do it.

I never thought I would be stalking someone because of jealousy.

And yet, here I am dressed as a boy and stalking Zuko.

I had to suppress a laugh when Zuko came out of the teashop. His hair was parted in the middle and slicked to the sides. It looked hilarious.

My face hardened when Jin turned the corner and giggled at Zuko. I was watching them from behind a house wall.

A gasp escaped my lips when he ran her hand through his hair and made it back to its messy and cute self. Now I wanted the ponytail back.

She linked their arms and started taking him somehwere. I let out a sigh and followed them behind.

This would be a long night.
