𝓢UNDAY 𝓓ECEMBER 𝓣HIRTEENTH

Nathan and I worked on my horseback archery. Sundays used to be considered my day off from any and all princess training. However, I woke up early this morning in order to get some more training done. I started with taking a lap around the palace in a gown and high heels, then I killed two birds with one stone. I ate breakfast with the proper etiquette, and I also evaluated the food supply for the kingdom at the same time.

"Have you ever shot somebody with an arrow?" I asked.

Nathan's forehead wrinkled as he stared down at me. I know that it is a strange question, but archery is something that I do for fun when I am not training. I have thought about killing Jackal with an arrow. How could a hobby that I love be used to take someone's life? Would I ever be able to enjoy archery after I use an arrow to kill Jackal? Would I be able to pick up an arrow again? I do not know.

"Not on purpose. One time, Henry was in the way of my target. In order to get him to move I shot an arrow in his direction. I accidentally grazed his ear with the tip of the arrow," Nathan said.

"Accidentally?" I questioned.

"It might have been on purpose, but in my defense, I only meant to slice a few pieces of hair off," Nathan defended.

I laughed. I took a stiff grooming brush and started grooming Apollo after our ride.

"Anyways, that was incredible! I never thought I could balance enough to shoot an arrow while Apollo is moving," I exclaimed.

"I think I may know why you have these impressive skills," Nathan said. He groomed his horse, Zeus, while he helped me properly groom Apollo.

His horse Zeus has a name that is perfectly fitting.  In Greek Mythology, Zeus is the God of the sky, thunder, and lightning. His main symbol is a lightning bolt that is known in mythology as the Masterbolt. It is the signature weapon and symbol of power for Zeus. The Masterbolt is said to be the most powerful and feared weapon on earth and in the heavens.

Internally I freaked out about Nathan's horse being named Zeus. My horse is named Apollo. Both are prominent figures in Greek Mythology.

Maybe it was some lame form of fate. Honestly, it could be nothing more than a coincidence. I do not know which one I believe in more. Fate. Coincidence.
