       My sweet girl, Alexandra.

You haven't even come into the world yet, but I'm already completely in love with you. The two of us have spent nine months together, but I'm anxious to finally meet you. I hope you will love me as your mother, because I already love you with my entire heart and soul.

Coming into this life might be frightening, but there is no need to worry. I am terrified. This lifestyle that you are being born into is not mine. Your father has lived lavishly his entire life; however, this is entirely a new dimension for me. I suppose it might be best to figure it all out together. We can work together side by side to be able to comfortably live alongside your father. I love him, and I want to make it work.

The wonderful kingdom that you are being born in is my home.

It wasn't always my home. I grew up in another far away land where people like your father and I don't exist. I came home later in life in order to be what I believed I was meant to be. Coming back to Astalilia has allowed me to assess what is important to me in this world.

This kingdom is important to me. I hope you will cherish this kingdom in the same way that I do, but I hope you find something about this place that makes you want to fight for it. If you have nothing to fight for, then it means nothing. Your father is wise, and he is brave. He fights for all individuals in this kingdom in order to ensure peace throughout the kingdoms.

I know you are not born yet, so you will not be able to read this letter until you are older. However, I hope that reading this letter later in life, we can help each other the way you helped me. You are giving me the possibility to be a part of your father's world. I am terrified to become his Queen. A part of me believes that I don't deserve this life that I'm coming into but knowing that you are going to be his heir to the throne eases my fears. I know already that you have what it takes to be as wise and as brave as your father. We will teach you and guide you and make sure that you know that you are loved by both of your parents.

As you grow older and grow into this lifestyle – you are going to be presented with challenges and choices that seem like the end of the world. I'm here to tell you that no decision is going to cause the end of the world. The only opinion that matters will be your own and you don't need the approval of others to make a choice.

My biggest hope is that you will grow up to be a humble and terrific woman. Your father and I had two separate lives before meeting one another, and it frightens me that you will enjoy one way of life more than the other. The differences between your father and I could be our downfall as parents, but I hope that you will make the choice on your own when you're old enough.
