Nineteen years of being ordinary.
Meet Alex Fitz. Born to Ezra and Valentina with the name Alexandra Katerina Fitzgerald. She is a princess completely unaware of that fact. When her younger half brother shows up to make her aware of her royal stat...
I woke up to Kat and Seraphina sprawled over my bed already awake. The two of them had not gotten ready for the press conference, but they were the only two awake. Nathan was fast asleep on the couch.
Kat, Seraphina, and I made a consecutive decision regarding the press conference. Right here. Right now. Seraphina and I were not royalty. Kat is not royalty. The council would be giving my friends and I their decision by the end of the day. There was no royal acceptability that needed to be followed. The three of us agreed that we would not be wearing dresses for the press conference.
I do not need my hair to be perfectly styled, or my makeup freshly put on, or a dress that makes me look ready to go to a party.
"Alexandra," Elizabeth called out.
She came into my bedroom holding the note cards that would help me get through the press conference.
I did not want to use note cards. Cameras would be in my face the entire time, and I did not want to be looking down. In my law classes, we were not allowed to use our notes. A lawyer needs to be ready for anything and have all of their case preparations ready.
I was ready for this press conference.
"Thank you. I should start getting ready," I said.
Nathan went with Henry, Gabe, and Dominick to get ready. None of them wanted to be overly dressed as well, but Dominick needed to be the obedient son.
It was obvious that Nathan, Henry, and Gabe were mortified about hearing the results of the council. According to Gabe, if their suspension was not lifted then the three of them would all have to move back with their parents and figure out different work opportunities that are not with the royal family.
Seraphina went to the press conference with Ezra, Elizabeth, and Dominick. Nathan, Henry, and Gabe went together.
The press conference was being held on the grounds of the palace. Which is rare, because the press is not allowed to be on the grounds of the palace. Everything needed to be contained. Ezra looked overly stressed out to be having these people and their cameras on his property.
