𝓣HURSDAY   𝓓ECEMBER   𝓢EVENTEENTH

Sneaking into the palace at nearly two o'clock in the morning was not the best idea for the developed plan that I have concocted for the day. Getting caught, would ruin Kay's birthday.

Let me break this down: Kat and I are going to have a nice breakfast together in the palace. Then we are going to spend the day in the village, while Dominick, Nathan, Henry, Gabe, and Seraphina, and a bunch of employee's finish setting up the ballroom. At some point, I will tell Kat that Dominick says that I need to do another dress fitting at the request of Ezra. Kat will be thrilled to play dress up with me, so she will not be able to resist dressing up for the ball in her honor.

Kat needed to be kept away from the ballroom at all times.

Waking up early was not easy. I only needed to make sure that I got out of bed before Kat.

I sprinted to the kitchen and picked up our breakfast. Thankfully, when I got to Kat's room she was still in bed. It shocked me that she was taking a phone call right now. No offense, but I never expected Kat to make phone calls to Virginia. She has not made a phone call to her group home once since coming to Astalilia.

"Eat and freshen up, birthday girl. We have a big day ahead of us," I said. I hope she brings up the phone call. I did not want to seem eager for information, so I decided not to ask about it. "Twenty things. Start the list," I said.

Kat and I sat in her bed and began eating our breakfast. Sometimes we wear the fancy silk pajamas given to us by Elizabeth; however, Kat and I have established a few birthday traditions together.

The birthday girl stays in bed for the morning. The other brings breakfast. We sit in sweatpants and a sweatshirt with our high school logo on it. Neither of us know why we made that a tradition. During breakfast the birthday girl lists a number of things she wants to do/change/be corresponding to her age. Also, for Kat's birthdays we would always watch some kind of fashion show compilation of YouTube, and for my birthday we would watch hockey goal compilations.

That is probably a big shock, but yes, I enjoy watching hockey.

I do not fully understand the rules, or how the game is played. However, watching the sport is thrilling.
