Protective Ron

hellooo! this one is v short but i thought of it and wanted to write it lol and I just love Harry and Ron's friendship

- Ron has a talk with Draco after he starts dating Harry - 

Harry and Draco had been dating for a couple of weeks, and had just decided to tell their friends. They weren't hiding the relationship from anyone now, since they had decided to become official. Their friends had been very accepting, of course. They kind of saw it coming.

The day after their friends found out, Harry and Draco were walking through the hall to the library, hand in hand. They were going to study together. Ron caught up with them and tapped Harry on the shoulder. They both turned.

"Hey guys, mind if I borrow Malfoy for a second?" He asked with a slight smile. Draco shot Harry a nervous look, and Harry squeezed his hand.

"Um, sure." Draco said awkwardly. "Is that alright?" He asked Harry.

"Yeah, of course, I'll be in the library. Just meet me there." He agreed, letting go of Draco's hand and heading away.

"Follow me." Ron said, dropping his smile. Draco nervously followed Ron to a nearby classroom that was empty. When they went inside, Ron shut the door behind him. Draco opened his mouth to ask what was going on, but Ron slammed him against the wall. Ron balled the neck of Draco's shirt in his fist.

"Alright, listen up. If you're going to date Harry, lets get some things straight. Do you have any idea how important Harry's safety and happiness is important to me? To Hermione? You better not dare do anything to him. I have spent so many hours of my life listening to the git talk about you, so you better not mess this up." Draco swallowed, eyes wide in fear. "Harry is the closest thing I have to a brother, and I have five brothers." Ron hissed. "I am not going to let some bloke saunter into his life and break his heart, got it? I've got my eye on you. You hurt Harry, and I hurt you. Understand?" Ron finished, eyes narrowed. Draco stared back, frozen in fear. "I said, do you understand?" Ron repeated, pushing Draco harder against the wall. Draco nodded frantically.

"Y-yes. Of course." He said fearfully. Ron paused for a moment before letting go of Draco. He gave a satisfied smile.

"Okay. You're alright, Malfoy." He said, clapping the blonde on the shoulder. With that, he turned and left the room. Draco stood against the wall, staring blankly. He had never seen Ron be that intimidating. Maybe Hermione, but not Ron. That was... terrifying. To say the least. Draco fixed his shirt where it had been crumpled and let out a breath, leaving the room.

Draco entered the library, spotting Harry at a table near the back. Harry looked up from a book he was skimming and smiled. He got up as Draco approached.

"What did Ron want? Took you a while." Harry said with a chuckle. Silently, Draco wrapped his arms around Harry and buried his face in his dark hair. Harry laughed and hugged back tightly. "Dray, everything alright?" He asked, running his fingers across the taller's back. Draco just grunted into Harry's hair and squeezed him tighter. "Drayyyy" Harry whined, waiting for a response. 

"Ron is scary." He said quietly, and Harry shook his head fondly. He would grill the details out of Ron later.

"Okay, you big baby." Harry joked, pulling away from the embrace and kissing Draco's forehead. They sat down to study, Draco not letting go of Harry's hand the whole time. He needed emotional support after that. The one thing Draco found comfort in, was that at least he wouldn't give Ron a reason to actually hurt him. He definitely had no plans to break Harry's heart.

i am fully aware of the fact that a lot of my oneshots with like comforting each other are very similar... but am i gna change that... no LMAO sorry
