- Harry feels weird when Draco starts ignoring him -

word count: 2050

Draco was nervously looking for the snitch as the crowds roared around him. This quidditch game was Gryffindor versus Slytherin, meaning he would face the legendary seeker, Harry Potter. Draco's eyes lit up as he spotted the snitch from across the field, and he sped towards it. To his dread, he heard someone flying beside him, and was right next to Harry. He looked away from the snitch momentarily to look at Harry. The dark haired boy looked over, making eye contact. He smirked then blew Draco a kiss and winked. Draco became flustered in surprise. Harry then veered away, as the snitch had as well. Draco looked forward and was about to crash into one of the stands. He pulled back just in time, tip of his broom brushing the side and stumbling backwards. He nearly fell off his broom, but regained his balance shortly. He looked up to see Harry and the snitch all the way at the other side of the field. He muttered profanities under his breath as he raced over. He was behind now. 'It's almost like the stupid bloke knows I'm in love with him.' He thought to himself. Before Draco could catch up, Harry lunged forwards and grasped the snitch. The crowd cheered and Draco's shoulders slumped. He had really screwed up now. Or rather, Harry had really screwed him up. He landed on the field and started to head towards the lockers. He heard the Gryffindor team giving each other mild praise and he rolled his eyes angrily.

"Hey, Malfoy!" He heard someone call. He turned to see Harry walking towards him. "Good game." Harry said, sticking his hand out for Draco to shake it.

"Oh, piss off." He spat.

"Aw, is someone angry that they didn't get a kiss?" Harry teased smugly. Draco's angry expression faltered in embarrassment. He turned around wordlessly and began to walk away. Harry blinked. This was wrong, Draco was supposed to get angry, not sad. Draco felt an arm reach out and grab his wrist.

"Draco wait," Harry began, pulling Draco around to face him. "I didn't mean to make you upset." He said quietly. He thought they were just messing around.

"Well Potter, you did. Now, would you be ever so kind and graceful to fucking leave me the bloody hell alone." Draco replied with glassy eyes, snatching his arm from Harry's grip and marching away. Harry stared blankly after him. That is not what he wanted to happen.

Draco was tired. Tired of fighting with Harry. Tired of Harry being a dick. He decided that he was done with Harry. He would never feel the same about Draco, so why bother with the stupid mean act? He wasn't worth his time or attention.

When Draco walked past Harry without shoving him or any snarky comments the next morning, Harry was concerned to say the least. He hoped that maybe Draco was just tired, and would be back to his normal self by the end of the day. He was wrong. Draco proceeded to ignore Harry all day. Harry didn't know why he cared. Draco always annoyed him, why was this a bad thing? He had this weird feeling in his gut that wouldn't go away, and he didn't know what it was either.

A couple of days went by, and Draco still didn't speak to Harry. It made Harry uneasy, it just didn't feel right. During potions that day, Harry had been staring at the back of Draco's head for nearly the entire lesson. He finally pulled out a piece of paper and scribbled down a note, before folding it into a paper airplane. With a flick of his wand, it floated over to Draco and landed in front of him. Draco looked back towards where it came from in confusion, locking eyes with Harry. Harry looked down at the note and back to Draco, signaling him to read it. Draco picked it up with a sigh, unfolding it.
