Stargazing and Slow Dancing

This is just a short and sweet one (emphasis on short lol) because the song "My Nights are More Beautiful Than Your Days" by Current Joys just sounds like love to me so I wanted to write this to the song 

This takes place after hogwarts so they're like 19 or 20 ish

This oneshot does not have anything to do with the lyrics or meaning behind this song, I just think that the song is so beautiful so Harry and Draco dance to it :)

 - Harry and Draco go stargazing - 

The two boys laid side by side, shoulders touching. They were on a blanket, out in the middle of a field. Harry looked over at Draco, eyes full of love. He had taken Draco stargazing for the first time, and the blonde was absolutely mesmerized. The night was lit up by the twinkling stars against the dark sky. 

"It's beautiful." Draco whispered, not taking his eyes away from the sky.

"Not nearly as beautiful as you." Harry responded, lightly playing with Draco's hair. The blonde tore his eyes away from the stars to face his boyfriend. Harry rolled over so his arms were on either side of Draco's neck, and leaned in to kiss him. Draco's eyes fluttered shut, enjoying the moment. When they pulled apart, Harry's eyes were shining with tears. Draco cupped his cheek.

"Everything okay, love?" He asked tenderly, stroking Harry's cheek. Harry nodded, his lips turned into a smile.

"Everything is great. I just love you." He responded. "So much." Draco's eyes softened and he planted a kiss on Harry's nose. Harry sat up and stretched, turning on a slow song. He stood and offered his hand to Draco.

"May I have this dance?" He said with a giggle. Draco grabbed his hand and stood. Harry then wrapped his arms around Draco' neck, and Draco snaked his arms around the other boy's waist. The music played softly and everything around them seemed to melt away. They gently rocked back and forth and in slow circles to the music. Draco buried his face into Harry's shoulder, squeezing him tight. It was his turn to have watery eyes. 

"Harry," He said said softly. "I am so in love with you." He felt like the luckiest man in the world. They held each other tightly for a while longer, enjoying the music before Harry whispered,

"Draco?" Draco hummed into the other boy's neck in acknowledgement. "Will you marry me?" He breathed. The tears of joy that had already welled in Draco's eyes fell, wetting Harry's shoulder. 

"Yes." He responded, voice barely a whisper. "Yes, Harry, yes!" He exclaimed aloud. He pulled his face from Harry's shoulder and kissed him on the lips, feeling Harry's hands tangle into his blonde hair. They kissed passionately, before Harry pulled away and dug into his pocket. He produced a silver ring and slipped it onto Draco's finger gently. Happy tears freely streamed down Draco's face. They wrapped each other in a tight embrace once again, as the music slowly faded out.
