- Draco meets Remus and Sirius - 

word count: 1866

Sirius was sitting in the kitchen of Grimmuald place with a cup of tea. He was lost in thought, but was brought back to reality by the sound of tapping at the window. He got up to open the window at the familiar noise, letting in a snowy white owl. He smiled, recognizing the bird.

"Hello, Hedwig" He greeted, lightly petting the feathers on her head. She dropped the letter onto the table and happily rubbed her head into his hand. Sirius heard from Harry decently often, but not nearly as often as he'd like. He grabbed the letter and Hedwig ascended back out the window. He carefully opened the envelope and unfolded the paper, beginning to read. His eyes scanned the paper and grew wide. Sirius dropped the letter in surprise, jaw falling slack. Harry said he was planning on asking Draco to marry him. He scrambled to pick the letter back up, eager to read the rest. He had everything planned out to propose, but wanted Sirius to meet him first. Sirius leaned back in his chair, processing. Harry was all grown up. Yes, Harry had been grown for some time now. He was a 21 year old man. But Harry being somewhat Sirius's kid, it was hard to accept that he was moving through life. Sirius and Remus had adopted Harry when he was 15 years old, meaning they were his parents for a short portion of his life. Of course they were still legally his parents now, but Harry left the nest just before he turned 19. Harry had never transitioned to calling them dad, but Sirius and only Sirius would occasionally get the privilege of Harry calling him pop. Sirius would always rub it in the face of a very jealous Lupin. (i don't think british people call their dads pop but it fit the vibe for sirius to be called pop in my head idk)

"Moons!" Sirius shouted, standing.

"What?" He heard called from down the hall. He shuffled over to Remus' office, a smile making its way onto his face. Remus opened the door, smiling at Sirius' expression.

"Harry is gonna ask Draco to marry him." He revealed, plopping onto a chair. Remus gasped.

"That's great news!" He said, sitting beside Sirius. "Right?" 

"Yeah, I guess." Sirius said with a sigh. "Don't you think they're a little... young?" He asked tentatively. 

"Just because we didn't get married until 35 doesn't mean Harry has to wait." Remus reminded. (if i'm right they would have been 35 when Harry was 14) "And you know if not for your situation we would have done it sooner. Do you hear the way Harry's talked about Draco? They're perfect for each other."

"Okay, okay. You're right." He looked at Remus with pouting eyes. "Our boy is growing up." Remus gave a small laugh and draped an arm around Sirius' shoulders.

"Harry has been grown up since he was a baby. This isn't news." He argued. Sirius snorted. "And play nice with Draco, okay? You can get a little protective of Harry. I don't want to have to monitor your behavior all evening next week." Remus continued. They were holding a small reunion the next coming week, and had invited Harry and Draco. The other people coming were Ron, Hermione, Fred, George, Fleur, Bill, Molly, Arthur, and Kingsley. (if sirius and lupin are alive fred can be too LMAO) Getting some of the old gang back together.

"You don't have to tell me about monitoring behavior."

"Wow, werewolf joke. Low blow." He said in mock annoyance. Sirius sighed in defeat.

"Fine, I'll be nice."

"I'm holding you to that."

The week flew by. Harry was excited to see everyone, but mildly nervous for Sirius to meet Draco. He knew that Lupin would be fine, he was more laid back and far less protective than Sirius. Harry had half a mind to give Draco a warning, but he didn't want to make him too nervous.
