quick notes: ik Harry isn't Teddy's uncle but he just calls him that, wizards use some muggle appliances and also i have no idea how children act

- Draco babysits Teddy for Harry - 

Draco was curled up on the couch in his pajamas, reading a book, when his phone started to ring. He got up to answer, taking a minute because he was still not the best at using muggle appliances. 

"Hello?" He said, not having checked the number.

"Hi, Draco? It's Harry." Spoke a voice from the other line. Draco's eyes widened a bit. After the war, he and Harry had been on good terms. He'd had a crush on Harry since his last couple of years at Hogwarts. It had been around three years since the war, and they'd become decent friends, but Harry hardly ever reached out to him directly.

"Hi, Harry. What's up?"

"Are you busy tonight?" He asked, a hint of worry in his voice. Draco glanced over at his book and cup of tea.

"No, I'm not. Why?" He asked.

"I really need someone to watch Teddy." He began. After Tonks and Remus had passed away, Harry took Teddy in and became his legal guardian as soon as he turned 18. Despite Harry and Draco's mild friendship, Draco was yet to meet Teddy. "They need me for an emergency at work, and nobody is available to watch him since it's so last minute. I usually don't work on the weekends but it's really important that I get there soon. I don't know when exactly I'll be back, probably sometime tomorrow morning. I'm so sorry to ask, but could you please watch him for the night? I called because I know I can trust you." He explained. Harry worked as an auror for the ministry, so Draco could see why whatever happened was so urgent. Draco's heart swelled a little bit over the last sentence.

"Of course I can. I'd be happy to." He replied, smiling slightly to himself. He heard Harry let out a sigh of relief.

"Thank you so, so much, Draco. Really. How fast can you get here?" Harry asked. Draco looked down at his pajamas.

"I can be there in two minutes." 

"Great. Thanks so much again. I'll see you in two, bye." Harry said gratefully. Draco said goodbye and hung up the phone, rushing to his room to change. He hurriedly pulled off his clothes and shoved them into a small bag. He dressed himself quickly, then grabbed his book from before and his toothbrush to add to the bag. He looked in the bathroom mirror and ran a hand through his hair, then hastily sprayed himself with cologne. He took a moment to remember Harry's address and then apparated, appearing at his front door. He took a breath before knocking on the door to the flat. The door opened almost immediately, and Draco was face to face with Harry. The dark haired man smiled.

"Hey. Come in, come in." He said, stepping aside for Draco to enter. "I just want to say thank you again, I'm really sorry it's so last minute, I just-"

"Harry, don't worry about it. I'm glad to help." Draco reassured, cutting him off. Harry beamed and stepped forwards, enveloping Draco in a warm hug. Draco blushed and hugged him back. Harry let go and grabbed his briefcase. 

"Okay, Teddy is just in the other room, I'll bring him over in a minute. There's food in the fridge, help Teddy and yourself to anything. I left money in case you want to order any food, Teddy doesn't have any allergies, and he has toys in his room." Harry explained, shrugging on his coat. "Just tell him to go to sleep around eight or nine, he should be able to get in bed by himself. I'll be back sometime tonight or tomorrow morning, I'm not sure." He finished, giving Draco a small smile. Draco nodded in agreement, figuring it shouldn't be too hard. "Teddy, come meet Draco!" Harry called, checking his watch. A small boy scampered into the entryway where they were standing. He looked up at Draco nervously, moving to hide behind Harry's leg.
