"Hi! Are you awake?" I coo and reach down for Mateo. "Hello," I say quietly and kiss his chubby cheek. He instantly smiles and starts his baby gibberish. I hold him close to me and close my eyes feeling him lay his head on me.

We both stay there for a moment before he tries to wiggle free. "Okay okay, I'll let you roam." I've already baby proofed my room and he will not be let out of my sight. I carefully put him on the plush carpet near an array of toys and bring my laptop onto the floor to watch him.

"Alright," I scroll through the long website and carefully read each person until I settle on someone who speaks my interest. "Aht aht!" Henry jumps and looks back at me just as he was getting to the door. "Get over here boy," I get up and pick him up. My stomach grumbles loudly and he looks down at it before back up at me. "Let's get some food," I grab my phone off the night stand and carry him to the kitchen.

I put him in the high chair and wash my hands at the sink. As I'm drying them the front door opens, I look around the corner and see my sister with Tina trailing behind.

"Hey y'all," I hug the both of them and Maddy goes to bother Mateo. "Where's Lulu?"

"With Femi, she wanted to take him for the day." Olu's sister is just like me, always wanting to hog him to the point where Tina has to beg for her son back. "How've you been?"

"Tired but he's keeping me busy." I turn to Mateo seeing Maddy tickling him making him erupt into a fit of laughter. I giggle and shake my head at the sight. "You?"

"Refreshed— Olu and I finally put an application in for that apartment I was telling you about. His loft is getting too stuffy for us,"

"Let me know how it goes! I know y'all will get it though." I tell her, patting her shoulder in an encouraging way.

"What has my sister been feeding you chunky man?" Maddy groans picking up Mateo from the high chair.

"I was actually about to feed him. Claudia sent him with some food."

"How's Billie and Finn doing? I know Claudia's freaking out being away from him." Maddy asks, grabbing his baby food from the fridge along with a baby spoon.

I blow out a breath, thinking about the amount of text messages Ive gotten from Claudia a day. "She's a nervous wreck—" My phone dings and I look down at it before giving them a look.

"Poor baby ain't been away from him longer than a few hours." Tina laughs with a pout.

"I know— I may not having a living child but I know how to take care of one. Sheesh," I stress and pick up my phone to respond to her message.

I shake my head and put my phone back on the counter. I laugh turning my attention to Maddy having a full blown conversation with Mateo while she feeds him sweet potatoes and mashed chickpeas.

"That's what I said!" She says dramatically throwing her hand up and he starts speaking in baby gibberish. "Exactly, you're the only one that understands me Henry."

"Shut up Maddy!" Tina laughs, swatting at her with her sleeve. "Please grow up,"

"I'll grow up when you do," she retorts and sticks her tongue out at her.

"Finish feeding my nephew please,"

"Ooo did you hear that Maddison?" Tina giggles slapping her side. "Her nephewww," she says in a sing songy tune.
