"Oh my god!" I yell in frustration as I throw my blanket off my body and slam the window shut to attempt to quiet the loudness coming in from outside.

New Yorkers are so loud.

I'd been in New York for the last few days after being flown here earlier than expected. The last few weeks have been so bad for me mentally. I had to be flown to New York earlier than expected and I hadn't seen much of Billie these last few days.

I did see her last night at her album release party but I hardly got to talk to her because she was all over the place. I congratulated her on her album, kissed her goodnight and left. I flew back to New York at 3am and haven't gotten much sleep since.

On top of being super busy, Billie and I's relationship had taken a bit of a hit. I can say that's mainly my fault because I've been horrible with communicating but I haven't even desired talking to her much anyway. She hasn't made much of an effort either.

I sigh and get out of the bed then stretch. I grab my robe and tie it around my half naked body. "Fuck, I'm tired." I rub my eyes and drag my tired body towards the bathroom. I flick the light on then lean against the sink to stare at my face. My eyes had bags under them, big enough to carry my luggage back to LA.

I grab my toothbrush, wet it and then put the toothpaste on to start brushing. I tiredly lean against the doorframe and brush my teeth with my eyes closed.

Spit.

Rinse.

Swish.

Spit.

Sigh.

I wash my face then drag my cold feet towards the small kitchen to brew some coffee. As it brews, I get started on my breakfast in a comfortable silence. After eating, I throw something comfortable on for work and leave out for the day.

Today we're teaching the assistant teachers our "effective" way of teaching ballet. It's not as hard as KIP is making it seem and to be honest, this trip was pointless. As long as you're a skilled ballet dancer you don't need to be trained that long. But that's not my call to make so until then, I'll just enjoy my paid trip here.

New York is far different from LA. LA is fast paced but there you can stop and admire. In New York, if you stop you'll get pushed down and trampled over.

I like how everyone here minds their business unless you get in theirs. One wrong move and you could end up getting called everything but a child of God. I find it amusing. Every morning on my way out the door I wave to an older woman who sits on her stoop drinking her morning coffee. Then take the short walk down the block to KIP.

The walk is peaceful and pretty short. Everyone walks fast and talks on the phone or shouts to a person they know. I like how if I ignore a man they'll insult me and either keep it moving or I show them my pocket knife and they back off. I can be aggressive here without being called crazy.
