"Bunny! Where's the corkscrew?" I holler as I rummage through the junk drawer. I hear nothing for a few seconds and huff. "Babe!"

"What?!" She yells back in frustration and I smack my lips. I turn the burner on low and walk to the back to our bedroom.

"Where's the corkscrew baby?" I put my hand on my hip and watch her doodle in her book.

"Check the junk drawer."

"I did! Come help me look please and I need you to set the table." She groans but I hear her follow me down the hallway. "Take these pissy." I hand her some plates. Billie has had a shitty attitude all day because she broke one of her favorite Christmas mugs.

On top of that, a few of our friends are coming over and she wasn't in the mood to socialize. Billie is a bit of a social butterfly but when her social meter runs out it's done for the rest of the week.

"Is Tina bringing Lulu?" Billie asks and I smile at the thought of my godson. "I have this bear I wanted to give him."

"Yeah did you invite Finn and Claudia?"

"Yes so you can steal my nephew away from me." She teases and I roll my eyes in response.

"Mateo is my nephew too bimbo, stop saying you'll marry me if you don't want me around." I stick my tongue out at her and she comes into the kitchen to kiss my forehead.

"I say I'll marry you because I want you around." She says making me blush. "Plus the sex is good." I slap her arm with a laugh and she kisses my forehead again with a smile. "Forks baby."

I hand her a few forks and spoons then go back to my search for the corkscrew. I hear out bluetooth beep and seconds later Just the Two of Us by Grover Washington Jr play. I dance around the kitchen as I look for the corkscrew.

"Found it!" I grab the wine bottle and pop the cork. I pour a bit of wine in the pasta sauce. I stir it and take a taste before adding more salt. A knock sounds at our door and Billie dances her way to the door. I open the oven and carefully pull out the rolls with an oven mitt.

"It smells good in here!" I hear Claudia yell before she comes in the kitchen with a crying Mateo.

"Awww hi Claudia! Hi Mateo." I coo and kiss his rosy cheeks before giving Claudia a hug. "What'd you do to my baby?"

"He dropped his bear." Finneas laughs coming in to give me a hug. "Ooo wine." He passes by me to wash his hands before grabbing a glass from our cabinet.

"Make yourselves at home. Everyone should be showing up soon." I hand him a plate of hors d'oeuvres and another bottle of wine.

"Don't mind if I do." He walks with Claudia to the living room and I smile hearing Billie laugh loudly at something.

"Hello everyone!" I hear Tina's loud voice and I come around the corner with a wide smile when I see my godson.

"Lulu!" I quickly run to him and Tina sets his seat down. "Gimme my baby. Oh hi pumpkin." I coo and take him out of his seat. "Hello sir, I missed you." I kiss his nose making him giggle.

I dance around the kitchen to the sound of the music and kiss his chubby cheeks. "We can make it if we try, just the two of us." I sing holding him close to me.
