Sada
July 8th, 2020"I know that's what I was saying." I laugh as me and Billie get out of the car. I take in my surroundings and notice we're at the back of the stadium. We'd gotten to the Ireland yesterday and Billie had been running around since we'd gotten here.
We'd taken a small vacay in LA to rejuvenate— well I relaxed more so than Billie did— then we'd flown here to Ireland.
The venue of the night is the SSE in Belfast, her first show in the here and I assume Billie is about to be prepping for soundcheck. She wanted me to be here for tonight's show because 'The first Europe shows are always the best'. Her words not mine.
"I was just telling Mom how fucking insane that show was!" She was talking about her last LA show that wrapped up her American leg of the tour.
"I know, you looked fucking amazing and Finneas played so well." I compliment and oar her back proudly.
"Good evening ladies." I guard greets us as he opens the door.
"Good evening," We both say politely and walk into the venue. We're then led to the backstage area and then the green room.
"Sada your phone," Billie hands me my vibrating phone and I see it's Hector calling.
"Why did you have my phone— Hola hermano, how are you?" I push Billie away after she tugs at one of my locs. I give her a warning look and she sticks her tongue out at me before leaving me alone.
"Pretty good niñita, what are you and celery head up to?"
"She's getting ready for soundcheck so I'll be bored for next few hours. What you got planned for today?" Hector was always doing something extravagant for his fiancé Athena if he wasn't at the restaurant. I loved hearing about Athena and the things he does for her, it always makes me wish that me and Billie were like that.
"Taking Athena out for ice cream later. With her childish ass—"
"Aye not too much on my sister now bean head. Let her be a kid at heart. You know you'll just spoil her anyway." I tease. If Hector was going to do one thing it was to spoil Athena. He worships the ground that woman walks on and I'm amazed by it.
"That's my job little sis. Gots to make sure my lil mama straight, you know how that is."
"Not exactly no." I mumble.
"What you mean?" I can just see the knitted eyebrows and the titled head. Looking exactly like Maddox Anthony. I look around the room for Billie but notice she isn't here and everyone else is busy in their own conversations.
"I can't spoil someone that has everything Hector. She could snap her fingers and what she wants she gets— I mean how can I provide for that?" I mumble voicing my recent insecurities.
Since being here on tour with Billie I'd fully realized how rich this woman is. It amazes me at times that she is because she sacrificed a lot for me. I didn't want the huge house on the hill or the mansion with 45 rooms for my first home. Deep down I know that she did and she could buy one if not two. Designer clothes that she wears as if it's Old Navy without a care and having a financial advisor to pay her bills. It's mad to me that I'm even breathing this woman's expensive ass air.
I mean anything she wants she can have and anything I want I can have but how do I top that? I mean just a few weeks ago she had the hotel decked out with roses for me and I can't even buy tulips. It makes me feel inadequate, like I can't afford to be in this relationship.
Like tonight, we're having dinner with one of her designer friends and his wife. I mean who does that? I can't even say the man's name properly without stumbling and I damn sure can't afford any of his clothes.
