Hindi ako makapagsalita. Ramdam na ramdam ko ang pag-init ng pisngi ko kasabay ng paghaharumentado ng puso ko. I blinked twice to get my senses back. "Y-You're a-asking me for a date?"

"Yes. But that's if it's fine with you." Umiwas siya ng tingin at bumaling na lang sa manibela. Sandali kaming binalot ng katahimikan.

I cleared my throat. "Yes. I'd love to have a date with you on my birthday." I looked at him and smiled.

Damn. This is gonna be the first time that I'll be going for a date. And it's on my birthday! Andami tuloy pumasok sa isip ko. What will I wear? Should I wear makeup? Does he like my hair in ponytail or not? Oh my gosh.

"Thank you, Trixie. I appreciate it so much," he said before finally driving.

Nasa gitna na kami ng byahe pero hindi pa rin mawala sa isip ko ang date. Date namin ni Altair. Fuck, I'm really going on a date! Kaya lang hindi ako sigurado kung friendly date lang ba 'yon o... iba? Ayoko naman mag-assume pero ayaw ko ring ipagsawalang bahala kung may ibig sabihin ang pag-aya niya sa'kin sa date. Should I ask him? Baka isipin niya naman na assuming ako. Damn, Bellatrix, calm down. You're over thinking it.

"You looked worried." Naputol ang pag-iisip ko nang biglang magsalita si Altair. "Are you sure that it's okay with you? I'll understand if you don't want to. And if you still want to think about it, go ahead. I'm not pressuring you, Trixie." He glanced at me and gave me a small smile.

"What, no!" Nagulat din ako nang mapalakas ang boses ko. Nakakahiya tuloy. "It's final. We'll have a date on my birthday." Hininaan ko ang boses ko at yumuko. He chuckled so I felt my cheeks heating even more. Did I sound desperate for a date with him? Shit.

Lalong bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko nang hinawi niya ang buhok ko na nakatakip sa mukha ko. He lifted my chin up that made my heart skip a beat. "You look so beautiful even if you're blushing." He turned his gaze back to the road and drive like he did nothing. The audacity of this man!

Nakayuko lang tuloy ako. Kinuha ko na lang ang phone ko sa bag at nag-browse sa IG. Walang nagsalita sa'ming dalawa. Hindi rin ako lumilingon sa gawi niya. Nagsisi pa tuloy ako kung bakit sa shotgun seat pa 'ko umupo. The mall wasn't far our house yet this ride seems to be long. Paramg ang bagal ng oras.

Tumingin lang ako kay Altair nang itinabi niya ang sasakyan. Nandito na pala kami sa tapat ng bahay namin. "Uhm, thank you..." I mouthed. I was about to open the car door when he got out of the car and do it for me. "So, I'll see on my birthday?"

"Yes. And Trixie, thank you for this day... and ah for the gift."

"I should be the one to thank you. Thank you so much. You made this day more special," I said and hugged him. "I'll go ahead. Take care, 'kay? Good night, Altair."

"Good night, Bellatrix." Hinintay ko munang maka-alis na siya bago ako pumasok sa bahay. Nasa gate ako at napansin kong tahimik. So the party still wasn't starting? Hmm... that's odd.

When I entered our house, they all appeared and throw me some confetti. The whole house became lively. Andami na palang tao!

"Happy Graduation, Trixie!" sabay-sabay nilang sabi. Ang ganda ng decorations. May mga nakasabit din na pictures ko at may warm light pa-ikot sa letter balloons at lamesa.

"Thank you, everyone!"

Mom and Dad approach me while lighting up the candles on the cake. It's the cookiecinno cake, my favorite. I blow the candles and everyone clapped. There's Kuya and my cousins near the table. Kasama ni Kuya Arc si Ate Luna while Kuya Rigel is with a girl. Probably one of his flings since he's not taking relationships seriously. Surprisingly, Kuya Rio is with an unfamiliar girl. Sila Tito at Tita ay nasa may sofa. There's also people here I don't personally know.
