Chapter 25

"Trixie, are you all set?" Tita Shane asked while putting her earrings on.

"Yes, Tita. I'm so excited, this is my first time attending an interview."

She chuckled softly. "You look great wearing Shane Cosmetics, huh. What about me, how do I look?"

"You're absolutely beautiful, Tita. I love your outfit," I replied. She nailed a maroon plunging neckline dress. It is spaghetti straps so it revealed her fair and flawless skin. She paired it with nude stilettos.

"Well, you too!"

I am wearing a black halter neck dress that looks like a semi gown. I wore my black criss-cross heels for this one.

We headed to her headquarters for the interview. It wasn't a live interview so we'll just shoot it on her office. My heart is racing as we walk towards her office.

"Hey, look who's with us today!" Tita Shane greeted. "By the way, Trixie, she's an old friend of mine," she introduced to the director.

The interview started right away so I didn't get the chance to compose myself. The director which happens to be a friend of Tita Shane is super kind and approachable that helped me become comfortable.

"Miss Bellatrix, how do you cope with your life? Well, your family is in politics and engineering, right? How's life of taking a different path?" sunod-sunod na tanong sa 'kin.

I think for a couple lf seconds before answering. "Actually, aside from being the new face of SD Company, I am also part of Aphelion Dixon Construction Firm."

"You're also an engineer, Miss Bellatrix? How can you balance modeling, engineering... and uh your life?"

"It was challenging but at the end of the day, I know that it would be worth it." I glanced at Tita Shane. "I just want to thank Tita Shane for making this possible. Soon, I'd be someone like her who will give chance to aspiring models."

"Miss Shane, what can you say about the success of your growing company? The SD Company?"

"I'm immensely grateful. You know... SD started as a small perfume business with only limited resources. Now, it's one of the famous brand and I just launched my cosmetic line. I'm truly blessed to have your support and of course, this wouldn't be possible without my husband. He was the one who made me believe that I can do this," she answered. "Bellatrix, I know how much you dreamt of owning your own cosmetic brand. And I want to tell you that I'd be supporting you for that dream. Just never dare to give up... and you'll be a star in this industry."

The interview happened to be quick and easy unlike what I thought. We did a set of photoshoot while I'm still here. Two weeks had gone quickly and tomorrow would be my flight back to Tagaytay.

"There, perfect!" the photographer said.

I packed my things that night and slept early for my flight. After a few hours, I'm already in Manila. My flight seems to be a lot easier than my first time. Parang ginawa ko lang na kabilang street ang New York kung magpabalik-balik ako. Altair said he couldn't pick me up today so I have to book a cab going to Tagaytay. Luckily, nakapag-book agad ako.

"Oh, hija! You're early, huh," bati ni Mom.

"Hey, Mom. Would you mind if I'll sleep first?" Antok na antok talaga ako dahil kausap ko si Altair halos buong flight. Nang matapos kami mag-usap, si Kuya naman ang tumawag sa 'kin.

"Sure. I'll talk to you later."

Tuloy-tuloy na 'ko sa kwarto ko at natulog. I did not even change clothes. When I woke up, my phone has 16 missed calls and 21 text messages  from Altair! I quickly got out of my bed and fixed myself. I change into a white loose crop top and dolphin shorts. I hurriedly go down and try to contact Altair.
