"Dude, let's go boating! Baka naman puro plates pa rin ang atupagin mo!" Zach said directly to my ears.

I threw him a meaningful gaze. "Really? Let me get my t-square, then," I replied mockingly.

Tumawa siya nang may halong pang-aasar. "Chill muna tayo! Buti ka nga hindi mo na kailangan ng summer class, e. Right, Drei?" He laughed again. "Para saan naman ang t-square? Ipangsasagwan natin? Funny mo, dude."

Inis akong humarap sa kanilang dalawa na parehas nagpipigil ng tawa. "Ipanghahampas ko sa 'yong mokong ka," sagot ko.

Nagsimula na 'kong maglakad papunta sa boating area. Lumingon ako at nagmamadali silang sumunod sa 'kin. I stopped walking when I saw a familiar figure from the boat nearby. Habang papalapit ang bangka nila ay nakita ko nang buo ang mukha niya. I knew it. She's the princess of the Dixon. I stared at her for a couple of seconds. I would lie if I say that she's ugly. She looks stunning in her swimwear and her fair skin glows as the sun hit her.

"She looks beautiful as always," I whispered.

"What were you saying, huh, Jake Altair?" Drei gave me a smirk. "Jane Bellatrix Dixon. Of course, she's beautiful. Ikaw ba naman ang maging kaisa-isang babaeng apo. She must be a spoiled kid," he stated as if he knew everything about Bellatrix.

Hindi na lang ako nagsalita kahit pa gusto kong sabihin na hindi ganoon si Bellatrix. She nails her cat eyeliner that made her look on fierce. Pero noong nabangga ko siya sa fast food chain, ramdam ko na mabuti siyang tao. Nauna akong maglakad habang nasa likod ko ang dalawa. Ang sasakyan naming bangka ay 'yong katabi no'ng kila Bellatrix. Pasakay na sana ako pero mukhang nahirapan siya kaya aalalayan ko sana siya nang muntik na siyang nahulog. My hands moved automatically and held her waist.

Pagkaalis niya ay saktong lapit na naman ng mga mokong. "Jake, dude who's that? Is she the girl that you're saying? The one you're courting?" he mocked as if he know nothing.

"Shut the fuck up."

Our summer break ended up very quickly. Halos hindi ko nga namalayan. Back to school na naman kaya plates na naman ang kaharap ko. I just wish that I could really finish architecture and earn my bachelor's degree. Political Science did not really work for me. Three years akong nagtiis sa PolSci dahil lang undecided ako sa course ko.

"Altair, would you come with us later?" Ngiting-ngiting sabi ni Drei.

My forehead creased. "For what? If you guys are going for a drink, I don't have time for that."

He held his chest dramatically before grabbing Zach's arm. "Grabe na siya, Zach," he whispered out loud.

Parang gago.

"Dude, Zach will finally ask Amira to be his girlfriend. We should be there for him, right?" Umiling-iling pa siya.

I sighed. "Fine. But let me ask you this. Are you really sure about that girl? She's badass. Besides, do you really think that she loves you the same way you love her?" sunod-sunod na tanong ko kay Zach.

He gave me an empty stare. "I don't care. I love her. Ikaw, kung hindi ka makaamin sa Dixon na 'yon, 'wag mo 'kong igaya sa 'yo. I love Amira no matter how imperfect she is."

I almost drop my jaw because of his reply. This is the first time I saw him this serious. Mabuti pa siya. He managed to court the badass girl in our campus while I can't even introduce myself to Trixie.

I licked my lower lip. "Anyway, let's just go to the cafeteria." Nauna akong maglakad at sumunod na rin ang dalawa na halatang nag-aasaran pa. I can hear their indistinct noises.
