"How did you make me fall in love with you"

You felt your heart thumping in your chest. You were aware of your surroundings in the sense that you knew where you were going but if someone were to speak to you, you wouldn't know. You were trying to keep your breathing under control, failing at it though. You continue to run through the castle. Almost there, you thought to yourself. Just a little farther. It felt like your heart was going to burst out of your chest. You felt yourself sweating but also freezing. Your knees felt weak. You felt completely out of control of your body. You turned the corner. By higher powers you were able to mutter the password. You made it into the common room and immediately made it to Tom's dorm.

Not caring who or what could be happening in there you opened the door wide. Breathing heavily, trying to catch your breath. You turn around, slam the door and slide your body down against it. If you were more aware of your surroundings you would be absolutely humiliated at your behavior but you had more important things to focus on, like breathing. With your knees to your chest and your hands pressing into your eyes you begin to count in your head. 1.2.3. continuing on until you feel yourself centered.

As you were calming yourself down you had no idea that Tom had been startled by your entrance and slowly made his way over to you. Now sitting next to you. His legs spread out in front of him, his hands fidgeting in lap unsure of what to do with them. Should he touch you or give you space? He was even debating leaving but you having your body against the door made that quite difficult. So he just sat there. Until you were ready to lead the way.

You looked up for the first time since getting into his room and jumped slightly to see him right there next to you. You cheek flush realizing how crazy you must look. You two had been together for over a year but still, to have your girlfriend come running into your dorm, unannounced, and then slamming her body against your wall and cry...that's not exactly typical everyday behavior.

"Oh. I'm sorry. I must look crazy" you say quietly trying to stop the blush from reaching down your neck.

You notice his hand hesitantly reach up to touch you, deciding to help him out, you lean into him. He rested his hand on your cheek and gently caressed and you two just looked at each.

"I will say, I wasn't expecting that. But love, there's no need to apologize. Maybe we should move to the bed, this floor is not the most comfortable place." He says matching your volume level.

You nod as a response to moving to his bed. He removes his hands and stands up. Reaching his hand down you gently take it and allow him to help you stand up. You didn't realize how tired you were until you were standing and you felt your knees wobble.

Took Tom all his self control not to make a comment about that not being the first time but he knew that now was not the time for those jokes. So he kept his mouth shut and grabbed on to you, giving you support.

You two slowly made your way over to his bed when you laid down he walked over to his dresser and got out your favorite t-shirt of his. He walked back over to you and began removing your uniform. Looking to you for consent first. You nodded.

After you were in his shirt and cuddled up in his bed, he laid down beside you. No words were exchanged during that whole time, just comfortable silence. Once he was laying down next to you he opened his arms and you laid you head on his chest and felt his heartbeat.

Something about his heartbeat set you off again. This time crying more over the fact that you felt embarrassed about how you acted. Tom was always in control, it made you feel like a mess sometimes.

As soon as he felt your body shake slightly from crying and felt the wetness of your tears he began to play with your hair. " shh i'm here" he said barely above a whisper.

You felt your body relax into his and soon lulled you to sleep. Right before you fell asleep you heard his mutter " how did you make me fall in love with you" and that was the last thing you remember as you fall into your slumber.
