As you raced down the hallways of Hogwarts you couldn't help but laugh at the scene in front of you. You could hear Snape yelling for "those stupid gits" as you and the devious trio make your escape. You had just completed a prank and were reaping the benefits of hearing snape's reaction.

You almost weren't able to experience this because Remus felt like it was too dangerous to you.

" When did I say I needed protecting, remus lupin, I would love to hear the answer to this" you nearly shouted.

You and Remus were disagreeing about how involved you should be in this prank, due to the fact that things could get wrong and you could get detention or worse, injured.

Remus sighed and rubbed his eyes trying to calm down and figure out how he wants to communicate the fact that he loves you and wants you safe and it's not because he doesn't want you there.

He moved so he could gently rub his hands up and down your arms. He whispered a 'hey' to get your attention and have you look up at him.

" I'm not trying to make you feel like you aren't capable or not important to the team of pranking. I just worry, ok? I worry that something is going to happen to you and I won't be able to help or it will have repercussions that I can't fix." Remus finished his speech by moving his hands to cup your face and gently running his thumbs across your cheeks.

You released the tension you didn't even know you were holding in your shoulders. Smiling softly at remus, " merlin, you are sappy...but I love you. I understand that fear but I want to experience life with you and that is going to come with some risks. If i'm going to risk detention or getting hurt I want to do it with you"

Remus smiled at your confession, responding by leaning down and pressing his lips, letting you two mold and melt into each other's presence.

As you laugh you let out a little shriek as you felt your body being lifted and thrown over your boyfriend's shoulder.

"Remus" you shriek as you laugh, enjoying hearing your boyfriend laugh as well as your reaction.

You look up to see James and Sirius laughing at the two of you.

"Look at you, trying so hard, moons. You got the poor girl blushing" James joked, making you blush even harder.

" Awe, love, I got you blushing. Who knew I had that effect on you ''Remus said, lightly smacking your butt before setting you down. He wrapped his arm around your shoulder pulling you into his chest before kissing the top of your head. Chuckling as he heard you mumble a shut up.

"Love you too"
