"Don't you dare smirk at me Draco Malfoy" you say as you turn to face your husband. You were getting dinner ready when you heard the front door close and his footsteps head towards the kitchen to where you are.

Draco promised he would be home at 6pm tonight, since he had been working late this week. Before he left for work in the morning he kissed you and made you look him in the eyes before he promised to be home on time. Anddddd you believed him.

Your arms are crossed and a pout rested on your face. It took you a moment to realize he had one of his arms behind his back like he was hiding something.

" What are you hiding?" you say, trying to peek around his body to see. Draco smiled and walked up near you. You smiled but then tried to stop, remembering that you were mad at him for being home an hour later even though he promised he wouldn't be late.

"My beautiful, wonderful, incredible, patience, kind, understanding, wife" Draco began. Oh man, he was laying it on thick.

" I was late because I saw these" pulling out the flowers behind his back " flowers and I had to stop and get them for you. You deserved nothing but the best so I had to get them"

You smiled and pressed your hand against his cheek gently, " awe look at you, trying so hard. I'm still upset at you for being late"

Draco frowned at your reaction but laughed as you grabbed the flowers from him and began putting them in a vase. Smiling lightly when you smelled them.

As you were getting the flowered all situated, you felt a body pressed up against yours. Draco had walked behind you and wrapped his arms around your waist resting his chin on top of your head, not before pressing a quick kiss to the top of it.

You two stayed in that position for a few moments, enjoying the silence before Draco broke it. " I'm really sorry, love, for being late, please know I truly value you and put you first, it was a busy day at work."

You couldn't help but sigh and rested against his body allowing him to do the work of holding both of you up. Draco's arms moved from around your waist to run his fingers up and down your arm gently.

You groaned, " I need to work on staying mad at you for longer" turning to face him and leaning your head up so he would get the memo to kiss you. He smiled slightly before pressing his lips against yours. Using his arms to bring you in even closer and holding you tight against him.

As you pulled away you looked up at him as you wrapped your arms around him and look up at him.

" I truly am sorry love, i'll be better" he whispered before kissing you again.

" Thank you" you mumble into the kiss.

" Least I can do for you my love, you are so important"
