As you laid on your dorm bed, you felt the weight of life on top of you. You stared up at the ceiling, letting the mundane action allow you to breath. You had your weighted blanket on, helping you ground yourself. Lily, being the incredible girlfriend she is, bought it for you for Christmas last year.
Lily walked in to see you staring up at the ceiling with the blanket she got you on you. She knew. She knew you were most likely running through every moment of the day and figured out where you could have been better and how you messed up. Most likely ridiculing yourself for something that no one else will remember.
You didn't even realize she walked in, until you felt her weight on top of you. She had her hands under his chin as she looked up at you. You looked down and smiled.
"Hi " you whispered.
" Hi" she whispered back.
"what's going on in that pretty head of yours" she says in a soft voice, a voice that immediately calms you.
You sigh and mumble a quick, " life"
She said, " ahh yes. Life. Pesky thing isn't it" making you laugh. Enjoying how it feels to be light again.
" it really is. want to tell me about it" you could tell in her tone she was genuine and wanted you to know how much she cares for you.
You shook your head, " no, but i'll accept cuddles' '.
"Cuddles I can. I can do them very well too if I do say so myself, which I do" she replied.
You felt herself snuggle into your deeper, if that was even possible, as your arms wrapped tighter around her.
The weight of the world, released as all you thought about was how much you love Lily Evans.
