Prompt: marauders era sirius please! so the reader and sirius and secretly dating, not even the other marauder's know, and the reader starts to wonder why sirius doesn't want them to to be public.

Dating Sirius was fun and wild and magical and all the fun things, it also was hard. When you first started dating sirius said you should hold off telling people, letting the two of you enjoy what you have. You liked the idea at first but now we are almost two months into dating and not even his best friends know.

You try to be ok with it and not let yourself spiral into self doubt, but it's hard when the person you are falling in love with doesn't even tell their best friends about you.

You were sitting by black lake with Sirius's head on your lap while you ran your fingers through his hair. You were staring ahead, lost in thought, or more like trying to stop the spiral of 'what ifs' on why Sirius won't tell people. You didn't realize you got so lost in thought that you stopped playing with Sirius's hair.

"What's going on in that pretty mind" you hear Sirius' voice, pulling you out of your thoughts. You looked down at his and smiled slightly before continuing to play with his hair.

" Nothing" you say before kissing his forehead.

"I don't believe you, sorry love. Now tell me what's going on in that pretty little head" moving to sit up so he was sitting next to you and facing you. Making you make eye contact with him.

" Nothing" you say attempting to be convincing although you know you're failing.

Sirius opened his mouth to argue again but you cut him off " why are you embarrassed of me"

You surprised yourself with the bluntness but you knew it needed to come out. Sirius was shocked as well, his eyebrows showing his confusion.

" I- uh um" him at a loss for words, not sure how to explain that that is the farthest from the truth.

Everything in you wanted to shout, just kidding. Everything in you wanted to crawl into a ball and pretend you didn't just say that.

" Well I'm not sure what to say to let you know that that is the farthest thing from the truth, but I guess just- why would you think that?"

You looked at sirius and saw his eyes filled with emotion and concern.

" I- it's just I understood why we didn't tell anyone at first, I liked it. We got to get to know each other better and just have a little secret of us. But Sirius it's- it's been over two months. You haven't even told your best friends. It just makes me think that you are embarrassed of me or that you don't actually like me. That maybe you saw me was charity work and you're bored now."

"That seems a little dramatic" he replied. You knew he probably wouldn't see it the way you did but you didn't expect him to completely disregard the whole thing. You didn't even know what to say or do.

So you just stood up. You stood up and didn't say anything and walked away. You heard Sirius yell after you but you just continued to walk. You heard him stand up and start walking in your direction but you were too far ahead. You went up to your dorm and took a shower. Hoping to wash all the emotions you were feeling.

You decided to skip dinner that night and just be in your feelings. Allowing yourself to process everything that just happened. You knew you were right in what you said, it was how you felt, you couldn't change that. You wanted to know why he didn't want to be seen with you or even tell his best friends about you.

You heard knocking at your door and Sirius' voice say your name quietly. You sighed, not answering. You weren't ready. You knew he was probably going to break up with you, maybe you were dramatic. You just- you didn't want to face him. You heard him say your name again, again you ignored him.

You laid there, waiting for sleep to come over you. You were thankful when it did.

You woke up the next morning, with tear stains on your face, you got up. Cleaned yourself up a little and began to walk to the door for breakfast.

You opened the door to see Sirius sleeping against the wall across from the door. He definitely had been there all night.

" Sirius" you say, him jolting awake and standing up within a moment. Wiping his pants off lightly and walking over to you.

" Hi" he whispered, as if he spoke too loud it would spook you and you would shut the door on him again.

Before you could reply again he stopped you, "i'm sorry"

You looked at him with sad and exhausted eyes, you gently grabbed his hand and brought you into your dorm to continue the conversation. You shut the door and turned around to look at him.

" I'm sorry. I- I- you arent dramatic. I know it's weird that I haven't told my best friends. and I know it's probably caused you to think of worst case scenarios. It's just the thing is- you're special. And- and im not. I mess things up really easily and I didnt want to actually accept how much I like you and if I told Prongs and Moony then that means it's real. It means I really do like you I just I got scared. You don't deserve that and I'm so sorry. But please- please don't give up on us. If you say you'll still be with me, i'll tell them right now"

You stared at him, processing what he said. Shocked at his vulnerability and rawness. You walked over and slowly moved yourself so you wrapped your arms around his waist and looked up at him. He stared down at you, you both just looking at one another and taking in each other's features.

" Sirius black you are so special"

He blinked at you a few times and then smiled. Leaning down slowly to kiss you. Moving his hands so they were cupping your face. He pulled apart just enough to speak, smiling at you.

" Want to go tell the boys" he asked.

" Or we could stay here and kiss a little" you replied, looking at him and smiling. Sirius raised an eyebrow and smirked at you.

You felt yourself being lifted up off the flow and then you felt the warmth of your bed. Laughing as you crashed onto the bed and felt Sirius weight on top of you.

He looked at you and smiled. Leaning in to kiss you he said,

" You are so special"
