You and Cedric had been dancing around more than friend's territory since you first became friends in 3 year. 5 year now and you still weren't sure what was between the two of you, but you didn't mind. You enjoyed Cedric, however you could get him.

"It was just a dare" you say crying into Cedrics arms.

"Shh im here. I'm here" he said quietly.

You were supposed to be on a date right now with a guy you've had a crush on for the longest time. You were so excited when he finally asked you out, you were over the moon. You ran right to Cedric and told him the news. He was awkward about it at first, which confused you, but he played it off cool and you chose to ignore it.

Now here you were crying pathetically in his arms in the middle of the Hufflepuff common room.

You had heard rumors that he was dared to ask you out, so when you confronted him he didn't even deny it. Saying, " well yeah, do you really think I was going to ask you out cause you think I like you" twisting the knife into the wound.

You hadn't even told Cedric anything, except that it was a dare, before you started sobbing and him quickly pulling you into his arms. He rocked you back and forth for a couple moments before pulling away and whispering, " let's go up to my dorm, more privacy" you nod and let him lead you up to his dorm.

As soon as you walked in you threw your body onto his bed and cried into his pillow. He came to sit by you and gently scratched your back. Letting you cry it out.

" You know it's not you, right? Youre perfect. I don't know why he would do that to you, i'm so sorry" he said quietly.

You turned so you were looking at him in the face, tears still streaming down. Cedric frowned seeing you look so hurt.

"Why did he have to say it?" you say. He looked confused , moving your head so it rested on your lap. "Love, what do you mean? What did he say?"

" He said why would I ever think a girl like me could actually be liked by him" you say, causing you to start crying again, not as hard but enough for the tears to flow harder.

You saw Cedrics jaw tighten and the hand that wasn't playing with your hair fist up. He looked like he was ready to punch the first thing he could. He took a deep breath and looked down at you.

" You know that's not true. You are everything a guy could want. Absolutely perfect" he said.

"Kiss me" you say, leaving Cedric with wide eyes.

"Are you sure?" He asked not wanting to take advantage of your vulnerability.

"Kiss me" you say again. Cedric wiped your tears and smiled down at you. Leaning in and kissing you.
